I'm not sure that I understand what you're asking. Are you saying that you bought the same thing that's in that auction and you want to know what it's worth?

mainly wanting to know how rare it is and if about what kind of value it has. I cant find any info on it except the new one on ebay so I think it is somewhat rare.

Hard to say, there's probably few intact sets left today. This was a very expensive item I'm guessing didn't sell well. Chances are the majority were split up years ago.

Besides it's not a Japanese console. Smaller game library for the hardcore fan who might've been willing to spend full price on it.

After looking around on the web for a bit, it doesn't seem like there's much of a collector's market for them. I think 200 or so would be the absolute max for something like this, and the box is gonna be all that's worth anything, since everything else in the set can be had without having to spend too much at all.

Based on what I read, CIB and NIB sets were going for about 150-200 a few years ago. I don't think the Saturn market has really boomed enough to have inflated the price all that much. Especially when you consider that everything but the Saturn is pretty much useless at this point. Only value that it has is for the serious collector.

This set is worth about $350 complete in near perfect condition.

Not true. Net Links still work. All you need is somebody else with a Net Link, a phone number and the same game. And be prepared to pay long distance charges.

People under 50 still have landlines?

Either way, that still makes it 99% useless.

well I was looking for a backup saturn when found this one. I figured they are going for around 50 unboxed here so really in the end I feel its a good deal. I just never could find anything about this one so figured it might be somewhat valuable.

That guy masterobeewan has ridiculous price on everything he sells. He has a buy it now auction for sealed final fantasy 7 for 5000$. FF7 isnt rare at all, they sold millions of copys of the black label game. I would pay up to 500$ for is saturn, it is very rare and valuable but not 3500$.

True, just don't try to use VOIP as I've had bad results with either party using it.

Yeah that seller is ridiculous - he must get some idiots from time to time to waste their money though. He has been doing it long enough.

As a Saturn collector I couldn't see myself spending more than $300 ..and thats CIB in mint condition - I wouldn't try using Netlink now adays..it kind of was meh back when it first came out lol.

You do if you live in an earthquake zone.

Or, provided you have two saturns and two copies of a game, you can buy a phone line simulator like I did (the Viking DLE-200B works wonders) and play under the same roof.

Why? Isn't an earthquake just as likely to take down telephone poles as it is cell towers? Or is there some other reason that I'm not aware of?
