Hello once again, guys.

So, if anybody hangs out in the Tech/Restoration forum, you've probably seen my post there about repairing Sega CD systems. I started off with my model 1 and model 2 being dead while sitting in climate controlled storage. Then I bought another that had a blown power board to cannibalize. Then I went on eBay and bought a lot of 6 broken ones. Well, they're all repaired now. My two, the one with the burnt power board (I rebuilt it myself by hand....oi vey), and the 6 others (4 model 1s and 2 model 2s).

My problem is twofold: I don't need all these sitting around, but I don't know what to try to get out of each unit since I don't have any AC adapters for them, besides the 2 that are for my own original systems, and one that is apparently dead.

So if I were to list these individually on eBay, or try to sell them individually through forums, what's a reasonable expectation of return per unit? I thought 20-30, max, on a good day, but give me your thoughts?

Considering how cheap Universal power supplies (Or Even Gen1/Gen2 Power Supplies) are online, you are best off simply buying a bunch of the needed AC adapters and coupling them together, then selling them. You'll go from $15-20 for a bare Sega CD to $35-40 at least I'd say with the AC adapter, because that's all the hookups necessary really for the system. As-Is Sega CD systems don't ever sell for a lot of money because they're prone to breaking.

However, I am interested in picking up a Model 1 Sega CD off of you....

I have model 2. Model 1 would need to be a deal good enough to make me succumb to novelty...

Working model 1s used to go for quite a bit more than model 2s. I'd assume that is still the case, but I haven't watched prices lately.

They still do, it is almost at the point where a good paired CD1 + Genesis 1 are worth more than a CDX or Xeye, Model 2 units are going up but not as fast. The Model 2 is still the cheapest.
