View Full Version : I just bought an old PCI capture card, and I was wondering how do I get it to work?

I'm gonna put it into a Windows 7 Machine. The card is a Sony TV Tuner Card BTF-PA402Z ENX-26 PCVA-IMB5A so if anyone can help me with it, it'd be great.

I've only ever worked with the Hauppauge cards. I don't know about the Sony ones, but I know that TV Tuners of all kinds are notoriously finicky in any operating system that they weren't designed for originally. Best thing to do would be to search out drivers from a driver archive site and then see if you can get hold of the software that the card came with, by one means or another. Best bet to getting it to work.Good luck!

May I correct that? They are at best unreliable even when used as directed.

Ok I have gotten the capture card, surprising it works a little. I found the driver. When I said it works a little, it works good sound and video but then almost immediately the screen goes all blue untill i start trying to view from the source again.

"Old PCI" and "Windows 7" typically don't mix well. I'd try Win2k.
