I picked up a loose copy of Final Fight CD the other day. Or at least I thought it was loose. It came in a plain CD jewel case with no inserts and I assumed it was loose and put in there to protect it. But I'm looking at pics on E-Bay and it seems that FFCD came in a box with a manual, and the disc itself in a plain jewel case with no inserts? So the case I got the game in is probaby the original?

It's moot since it's just a jewel case. There's nothing to differentiate it from any other jewel case. Point is, there's no value in that case, so I wouldn't invest to much concern into its preservation.

The only thing you might be able to find out about the case is if it isn't the original case. If the case was marked with a music company logo, for example, that would tell you it wasn't an original case.

Sorry I might not have been clear. I don't care much about the case itself being authentic. Just wanted to know for certain there is not large SegaCD/Sega Saturn style jewel case for it. And that being in a plain case is how its suppose to be. Sounds like that is the case (literally).

If I can track down some scans, I think I might print out a modified Japanese release insert just to make it look nicer on my shelf until I can track down an empty box, or replacement complete set. Does anyone know where I might find such a scan?

Nice. Are those sized for the Sega CD Jewel Case? Or regular DVD cases? Or are the first three for Jewel Cases and the 4th for DVD size?

Honestly I'm not sure, but I'd be willing to bet that it's either for a standard 14mm DVD case.

edit: It says right above the DL link what format it is. Looks like 14mm DVD case for all of em save for the last which is for a slim DVD case. It wouldn't take much work to make that fill a Sega jewel box though :)

Final Fight CD came in the original Sega CD paper boxes, with a long manual and a clear jewel case inside. The jewel case doesn't come with an insert. That's how my Final Fight CD and every other Final Fight CD game comes from my observation.

I'm just agreeing with you here, since you're the first person to state it outright in the thread. My complete copy has the same supplementals and so has every other copy I've ever seen.
