Are there any of these that are similar to the NES/SNES PowerPak or Genesis EverDrive? I have this really old one that uses a Parallel port and I'd love if I could play Japanese games on my American TG-16 without modding.
USB is a must, obviously.

Hopefully it will be in soon.

You can buy this one, which loads I think a couple games only at a time, but costs just $45 plus shipping.

I've read that Retrogate is the official store for the Everdrive stuff, and they do have it in stock right now.

Just got the Turbo Everdrive last week. Great deluxe edition by Stone Age Gamer. Games load fast, menu very easy to navigate through. Only pain is you have to press a tiny button on the edge of the board to reset to the menu.

The deluxe version looks great. How durable is the casing on the card?

On the hu-card? He sprayed most of it with a type of rubber paint. The casing is actually one piece of dark plastic screwed into board. I would call it highly durable. There are some pieces on the card itself you need to be somewhat careful with. There's a small sliding switch to go from TG to PCE, for region lock, the microSD slot is one of those push in to release types, and there's a small reset button. Of all of it, the reset button's longevity would be the only potential concern I'd have, though it will probably last for years.

The plastic on the cart is very durable. Its 1/8" thick acrylic so it is very resistant to scratching as well. The PCB would probably break before the plastic did. This part only covers the chip area of the cart.
Basically what was do is first mask off the edge connector, region switch, reset switch and mircroSD card slot. We then coat the whole board in a clear conformal coat. We then mask off the chip area of the board and coat the rest in a black epoxy enamel. So none of the chips get coated with the epoxy, only the conformal coat. Conformal coat can be soldered through if repair is needed. It helps protect against dust and moisture.

That's awesome. I'm planning to get a turbo ED deluxe when its back in stock. I've got a few tg16 flash carts now and they're all bare PCB and I hate them because of it.
Does the shell still permit the cart to fit into all tg16 variants? I've got a coregrafx, PCE duo, PCE GT and a TG16. It looks like it should still fit - can you confirm? :)

Due to the cost of the many variants TG and PCE system I was unable to test, but my guess is it does since I have sent out almost 70 deluxe so far and no one has complained that it did not fit in their system.

I just ordered mine yesterday from retrogate.com, can't wait til it gets here. Hoping it works on my region-modded Duo-R, there is a disclaimer on their site that it may not work on a region-modded system.

I made this flash cart before the Everdrive came out, as an easy way to play a home brew, or try a game before you buy it. It only holds one game at a time. It was made to be as inexpensive as I could make it, and also low-power. I had planned to follow it up with a higher-end card, which holds multiple games, but then the Everdrive came out, so it wasn't necessary.
