As you all know, the Nintendo Wii U launches in November 2012. So too is ushered in the era of the Nintendo Network ID. No longer shall Big N gamers be limited to having to exchange codes for every game and console just to chat and play. Thus it is now time to retire the old Wii Friend Codes thread from sticky status and introduce a new thread for Nintendo Network IDs. Whether you are going to be using your Network ID for Wii U only, or for 3DS, Android, iOS, or some future unforeseen platform, post it here and add your fellow Retrogaming Roundtable rowdies to your Friends List.

Thanks to the recent firmware update for 3DS (finally) letting us have our own Nintendo Network IDs on 3DS, I have one to share with all of you. Unfortunately the Miiverse Friends function isn't there (and might never be :() so for now, uh, I guess just look for my posts in the Sonic The Hedgehog, Animal Crossing, and Ace Attorney community boards.

I finally got my 3DS, but it looks like I need to trade my whole "friend code" and everything for now. Is there a way to add friends without that now? I Googled some online tutorials, but the whole Nintendo Network ID for 3DS seems screwed up.

The only game that I currently play on my Wii U that isn't retro is Super Smash Bros. Wii U; thought I also have Bayonetta 2 and Mario Kart 8 in case anyone wants to play with me. Speaking of Bayonetta 2, I will have to get back to that someday. Only played around two hours but liked what I saw.
