Weight list of video game consoles and cartridges

I am a beginning seller of classic games and systems on ebay, and I don't really have access to a scale to use for weighing my games and systems for shipment yet. I am mainly trying to find the weight of the American Sega Master System (console only) and cant find anything online for that. Anybody know of a database that has the weights of different systems and games?

If you're planning on doing this as a business or side business, then it's probably worth your while to just pick up a cheap postal scale. You can get a non-digital scale for next to nothing. I'd look for a used one with out of date rates since you're just gonna punch the weights into eBay/PayPal when printing postage. You can also just calculate shipping price by weight using USPS.com.

I purchased a digital scale about 3 years ago and it's been just about the most useful thig for doing business online. No regrets.

As already suggested you would need a scale. You'd have to include the weight of the box and packing material into the cost of postage, just knowing the weight of the contents alone isn't enough.

I bought a scale off Amazon with my first batch of sales "profits" for like $20 and it's been totally worth it. Being able to provide accurate sales weights are great, since some things are kind of off for the ebay estimated weights.

It'll work with a 9V battery (included) or the included power adapter and has been accurate for everything I've thrown at it so far.

I will note, if you're doing first class mailing where the rate varies by ounce, I add an extra 1/2 ounce or so when I'm weighing to account for the added weight of like the tape and label on the package.

I just weigh everything in the box with whatever packing material I'm going to use. No need to actually pack it up, but that way I'm sure beforehand and don't over or under-estimate ;)
