Wii U sells 400,000 units in first week [Joystiq]

Yes I want to see week 3 too. I haven't seen the black one locally, but white a bit sure. I'm thinking depending on all the stories around as I think I said here before they're taking the 3DS approach of playing down the numbers but also not doing media on it either letting it move itself, and then pumping more product out there in hopes yet again to break the back of profiteering speculator twats trying to hose people around the holidays.

Week 2 actually ended at December 1st. The last day was December so they counted that. So week one sales were the 400,000+ for the Wii U. Europe week one ended at December 1st and the Wii U has 170,000 sold. Week two for the US, the Wii U has 130,000 sold. So it's 300,000 altogether. But it's still behind the PS3 and 360 with PS3 having 390,000 and 360 having 475,000.

It should sell a lot in Japan what with Monster Hunter being a launch title.
