Lately these have started appearing on ebay. Looks like real SNES console but for Asian markets only (Singapore etc.) They're PAL though so they're playable in Europe.
If you look at the picture, in the background, you can clearly see that this guy has hundreds of them
I'm wondering if anyone has more info. Where have all of these consoles come from? Did anyone get one of these recently etc.?

They could be knock offs, but stranger things have happened than NOS consoles.
Just recently a large number of NOS Amiga 1200 computers were found in Asia.

They probably found a lost pallet in a warehouse... they seem legit. But pal sucks!

I still see PAL TG-16 systems new on eBay, well, every day.
Asian PAL market wasn't exactly huge in the early 90's, so it's conceivable that a warehouse full of em was opened up at some point not long ago.
Also, this made me laugh
The opportunity to buy such an item may never happen again, so here's your chance to own an excellent, unique piece of gaming history.
Sure, "never" until you list one of the 100 or so others that you're clearly sitting on LOL!

Like the others have mentioned, it was likely old stock that was forgotten about.
I believe even Nintendo, found some old games in their warehouse a couple of years back.

What games did they find?

yes back in 2005 brand new copys of kirbys adventures in french appeared in video game stores around montreal for 20$. Got my french zelda link to the past (which has apparently become a rarity in good condition... mines a perfect first edition NTSC and dont know how much its worth could not find one on ebay in excellent condition and first print too and seen others for 500$) from a recovered warehouse find.

But pal sucks!
PAL schmal, it's a brand new SNES. I'd probably never even open the thing if I bought one. The old yellow-top NTSC console in the closet/drawer/fleamarket can serve for actually playing games.
Although the NOS controller would be awfully tempting...

I recall quite a few cases of Player's Choice F-Zero popping up recently as well. Were going for next to nothing, so there must have been a TON.

hi. I am from the Philippines and i personally know the person who posted the listing, he's a local guy who doesn't know much about internet and stuff, He does not join forum and stuff even our local retro gaming page, just someone who buy and sells stuff for a living although he has his own little collection. Yes, the SNES boxes were discovered in an old warehouse and they are 100% legit. =D . I think that's all the info that i can disclose. thanks

I had no idea PAL was in use in Asia. Weird, the stuff you learn when you least expect it.

No listing posted by someone with zero feedback should be taken seriously.

So I guess eBay started the power sellers off with their first 1000 positive feedback for free.

I think he means for something like this, which is sort of out of the blue as it is. If it were new copies of Bon Jovi cassettes, then I don't think anyone would have noticed the lack of feedback.
