The PlayStation Vita YouTube has been updated (http://blog.us.playstation.com/2012/12/03/youtube-for-ps-vita-update-to-version-2/), and now features a number of improvements. The app now has added channel and subscription support, improved controls, the ability to create playlists and support for closed captions, continuous playback and search filters. Furthermore, users will now be able to share videos via Twitter and email.

The YouTube app also catches up with the Vita menu, allowing users to control the app with the handheld's physical controls instead of the touch screen.

Most importantly, the app still gives you instant, 24-hour access to "Oh My Damn (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DcJFdCmN98s)."http://www.blogsmithmedia.com/www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif (http://www.joystiq.com)Vita YouTube app updated, adds new features (http://www.joystiq.com/2012/12/03/vita-youtube-app-updated-adds-new-features/) originally appeared on Joystiq (http://www.joystiq.com) on Mon, 03 Dec 2012 23:59:00 EST. I don't care which implements it. I'd like to see live streaming from the Vita to Youtube or NicoNico. So even if it doesn't have a tv out, there will atleast be a way to view the Vita on television/monitor, hopefully without too much lag at high quality.

YouTube apps are all about subscription support for me.

I subscribe to a metric ton of YouTube broadcasters and it was a head-scratcher to me that V1 of this app didn't have subscriptions built in.

Glad it has them now, though my iPad is still probably my go-to for YouTube browsing on the couch.
