AUSTIN, TX – Austin is proud to be the host city of Twin Galaxies' Texas Trading Card Premiere, where world record holders, iconic industry pioneers, video game personalities, contest winners, and legendary events from the state of Texas are to be honored for their contributions to today’s worldwide video game culture.

On the afternoon of January 19th, 2013, Pinballz Arcade is expected to be filled with hundreds of guests, including families, video game developers, inductees and honored guests all eager to experience the magic of a classic arcade and this once in a lifetime historic occasion.

This momentous event brings Walter Day, from King of Kong fame, to Austin to induct new Trading Cards for Twin Galaxies' most recent Video Game Trading Card set. Walter will also donate some unique video game memorabilia to the University of Texas' Videogame Archive.

The main events at the premiere are the Induction Ceremony, Classic Arcade Game Competition, and a Costume Competition. A charity raffle with all proceeds going to the American Cancer Society includes prizes ranging from plush animals to full console systems and unique collectibles as well as cards from the Texas Trading Card Premiere itself.

All proceeds from this 4-hour charity event are to be donated to the American Cancer Society. For more information about this event, visit its Facebook event page at: https://www.facebook.com/events/499025633449099/

Competition machines have been announced.

3 machines will be set up. This will be a modified "That's Incredible!" rule set.
One at a time, a person will step up to the start line, and when given the signal, the person arrives at game 1. Your job is to get the designated score on game 1, then move onto to game 2, with the same task, and then same on game 3. The fastest time of completion will win.
