The B button on my Advantage takes an effort in pressing to get it to work, so I thought I'd open it up to see if I could fix it. I didn't get any further than taking out two screws in the bottom because I can't figure out what to do next. Anyone know how to go about opening it?

You will find more screws under the rubber feet.

Thanks. I'm guessing that the turbo dials are a bitch to get off, am I right?

YES!

but it can be done, without damage. basically, the knobs have to be pulled straight off. I did it, without scuffing up my knobs, by pulling them off with pliers and a rubber jar lid gripper. I put the gripper on the knob, and gripped the knob through the rubber gripper. They pop straight off, but it takes some force.

Once that's done, there is a little nut you can screw off, allowing you to be able to pull the whole assembly out.

The Advantage is one solidly built controller. :)

Yep, it's built like a rock.

As to my situation with it, I swapped the rubber bit and connector underneath the buttons and now the A button is the problem. I guess the little black circle in the rubber bit is making a weak connection. (I don't know any correct terms :/ ) I guess I'll have to replace it.

Thanks guys.
