Gift Ideas?

Hey guys, I'm getting my girlfriend either a sega genesis or a nes for christmas in the next day or so but I'm cuious what games would you rercomend i get her.

That would depend on what kind of games she likes.

Assuming she doesn't play many video games, try to start with something easy and relaxing, for beginners.

Legend of Zelda CIB that's been re-shrink wrapped would go along great with an NES.

What games does she like? If she likes RPGs, fighting and space shooters then Id say go with Genesis, but if she loves platformers, well, Mario is just flat out better than Sonic. If you do get a Genesis you HAVE to get her GUNSTAR HEROS!

If she doesnt like video games, I dont know if shes like older games. People who are getting into games usually go for whats new, they just do, since its whats on tv advertised and what most people talk about. How old is she?

Ms. Pacman(Tengen version has two player coop and a ton of levels and options) $10-15
Pacmania (Tengen game that looks like a Lego Pacman game) $10-15
All the Mario games (Dont forget dr. mario) $10-15
Thunder and Lightning(breakout clone with tons of power-ups) $10-15
Puzznic(cool puzzle game that has two different games) $5
Snow Bros.(this tied for our favorite two player game but it is expensive) $$$
Rodland(see Snow Bros., you can get a repro made for about $30) Must own import game!!!! $$$$$$+


All of these are must own games, great fun!!!

Better yet, get her a Powerpak and load all these games on it!!!!

Thanks for all the good ideas guys, apprently my reply last night didnt go but yeah shes pretty mcuh into all games and likes a challenge and shes 18. sadly i didnt have much for options so i got stuck with buying her the sega genesis classic console due to the horrible lack of decent games as it comes with 20 decent one with it, the only good games that they had there
