random question. i was noticing after browsing some auctions that some Famicoms have a FF type logo like hte one on this atrocity (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Nintendo-FC-JUNK-AV-Famicom-Console-System-Import-JAPAN-Video-Game-0121-/310495631174?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item484afb5746) and some do not.

when did the FF logo start showing up?

I assume that you're referring to the old "Famicom Family" logo... based on a quick search of my boxed famicom games, the earliest examples that I can find are from 1989 (Square's Tom Sawyer and Baseball Stars).
