The ps offers a lot more gameplay and it also includes the original campaign so if you are looking for game play the ps one wins hands down. It has somewhat updated graphics - but (like most strategy games) you are better off shutting off the battle visuals - they get boring really quickly and really slow up the gameplay.

A lot of the new scenarios play out more like puzzles (in order to get and deploy factory units from neutral factories) - although you generally have to work hard even when you get those factories under your control.

Ever try the Japanese only release (Win9x) full game download conversion? That one is pretty fun to use with the mouse...good luck finding it.

Neo Nectaris for PC Engine Super CD is the best version and also contains the complete HuCard version of Military Madness. Language barrier isn't an issue.

The Playstation version is neat as a companion to the original, but you should get the Turbo/PCE version unless you prefer 3D graphiics.
