I'm oblivious to Atari values, is this lot worth anything? I'm under the impression that Atari games are similar to NES games, in the aspect of there are a TON of them, and the majority of them are worth under $4.

I'd like to get into Atari collecting this year, this may be a good start. Can anyone enlighten me as to if this is a good deal or not?

The rule of thumb is that pretty much any loose atari game is worth at least one dollar. You'd be paying $30 for 41 of them, so no matter how much they're worth you're getting a decent deal. Some titles may be worth more, or doubles, but none would be worth less. I'd personally nab it and resell whatever you don't want.

At the very least, from what I can see there's a LOT of good stuff there; tons of activision, some atari and even some nintendo stuff. If you're in it to play them, this is a great start.

I don't know if it's just location but I have a box full of common Atari games that I can't even get a quarter a piece for locally. So if it were me I wouldn't get that lot unless it had a system with it or I wanted 99% of the stuff really bad.

About the only things of value I can see off hand is the Mario bros. and what looks like Journey Escape and there not but like $3~$10 on ebay.

It's super hard to sell most retro games locally in quiet towns. I'm in the same position. The online market opens up a lot more, though.

If you want to keep the games then it's a good price, the labels are in good shape and they're worth at least $1 each.

It really depends on your location, I could probably get $1-$2 per game if I tried to sell them locally. It's really much better to bundle them with a system, if there was a system with 40 games I could get at least $100 for it. Probably more if I was patient. I really try to avoid Atari 2600 games unless they're cheap, for only $2 each I wouldn't want to spend the time to really sell them if I got them for $1 each or so.

I try not to spend more than $.25 each for common/uncommon 2600 games. The market seems to have died except for those select rare games.
