Halfbrick studios brought their one-button endless-run masterpiece to the PSN a few weeks ago by way of Playstation MINIS, which, in my opinion was great. Even at the low resolution it looked, sounded and played great.

However, now they've brought the game over in full HD with the full fremium distro style in tact. The full game (not the MINI version) is completely free on PS3 and VITA now, and you can play all day without having to spend extra, but if you want to unlock extras like a coin-doubler or extra tokens to spend in the shops, you can spend real money on that stuff.

I've enjoyed the SHIT out of this game for the past year and I haven't spent a single penny of real money, and I know a lot of other people who have done the same, so don't let the cash purchases dissuade you. You can unlock everything that matters with in-game persistence.

This is a great little game that does so much right within its genre. If you've passed on it on iOS, Android, Windows 8, or anywhere else that it's available, give it a shot now. Seriously.

...and if you find yourself humming the main song after a few play sessions, Halfbrick offers the soundtrack for pay-what-you-want (including nothing) at Band Camp.

I set a reminder to download this a week or two ago. I doubt I'll play it as much as I have on iPhone, but the price can't be beat. Fuckin' love this game.

You have a Facebook page? They have a flash version on there I think.

That's another of those "platforms" I don't own (and perhaps "own" should be in double or triple scarequotes as well). It's nice that Angry Birds Star Wars has to be on Facebook, for instance, when they already had a website hosting the regular AB Seasons content.

I don't like Facebook and I won't use it.

I hear ya.

I only recently took the plunge and joined the service when Jellyvision brought a fantastic episodic version of "You Don't Know Jack" to Facebook.

I have an almost unnatural/fanatical love for that trivia game and that was quite literally enough to make me sign up.

I'm sure that Halfbrick will bring Jetpack to Chrome Apps at some point seems like they're expanding to infinity with that game.

I was surprised to find the PS3 version looks nearly identical to the iOS version via Apple TV. I experienced some lag on Apple TV, but when it runs the way in which it should they're pretty much the same. I want my money back!

What I thought was strange is that the PS3 version doesn't display full screen by default (though the option is there in the menu to run small/medium/full screen) .... I wonder if that's to do with the game code ported from/running in iPad native resolution.

I don't know...a lot of the games on Chrome seem to be pretty poorly serviced afterthoughts without new content or bug fixes. The number of unofficial "Angry Birds (release name)" packages, or other games being offered as "chrome apps" which are actually just third parties putting somebody else's game up on their site, is pretty staggering, and makes me wonder how many companies really look at it. It's a neat idea, but it only seems like a good idea so long as Chrome has any kind of lead in browser performance for gaming over Mozilla.

One company that has my respect in this arena (if only for Bloons TD 5, not their zombie shooter which is pretty atrocious) is Ninja Kiwi, which mainly publishes the Kaiparasoft games (based out of New Zealand). They have their own achievements system and pretty much everything.
