I just got one in the mail today and it didn't come with a power cord. Is there a sub that can be used or will it run on just the batteries? I didn't have 6 AAs on hand.

From what I heard, the power adapter was an SNES AC Adapter plus some "tap" thing.

It will run just fine on batteries. Not sure of how long, but I don't think I have replaced mine in a long while.

There's two options to get DC input. Both need about 9v center-negative 850ma or higher.

American power attachment only takes that weird US SNES plug.
Japanese power attachment is much more versatile. Using a standard plug to allow Famicom, Genesis model 1, or other similar rated adapters.

Ok, I put in new batteries and nothing. Am I missing somthing?
