Hey guys, im pretty new here and was wondering if anyone with a decent knowledge of old pc games could help me out? I was clearing out my attic and found a complete copy of wing commander the kilrathi saga, and when i say complete i mean it has every insert it came with on day one! After a quick search through the internet I gathered this game is somewhat rare.

I was just wondering if anyone had any idea of the going/acceptable rate to sell this game? Preferably in UK pounds.

Any help would be greatly appreciated guys

Cheers

All you can do is search completed Ebay listings. With an exchange rate of about 1.6, probably worth 30 - 60 GBP if complete like you said. Unfortunately the market is somewhat slim for old PC games that may not run well on modern machines.

There's also http://videogames.pricecharting.com/game/pc-games/wing-commander-the-kilrathi-saga .

In the end, it sells for what it sells for. The best you can do is put it up on eBay with a reasonable starting price and hope someone bites. (I've been trying to sell this copy of Homeworld: Cataclysm (http://www.ebay.com/itm/121046387151) for ages now, even though it's a fair bit below what it ought to fetch (http://videogames.pricecharting.com/game/pc-games/homeworld-cataclysm).)

A couple of years ago, Kilrathi Saga was quite the collector's item. I don't know what its value is today though.

Would you consider trades?

The problem with that site is that they bundle jewel case only versions in with boxed/complete copies and make no distinction for different versions of the same item. So much in PC game collecting and pricing is dependent on the version, format, condition and completeness that it's really pointless to track sales prices unless someone is manually reviewing each sale to make sure it's like items.

Thanks for the help guys, i appreciate it. I suppose my best bet is to just stick it on eBay and hope for the best.

Edmond Dantes I probably would trade the game as well, depending of course on the game being offered (lol)

I offer Bust-A-Groove (CIB) and Mega Man Legends (greatest hits, disc with manual, manual has wear and disc needs resurfacing.)

Not bluffing.

Edit: Oh wait, you're in the UK, aren't you? Crap. :P
