So there's four different Wheel of Fortune titles released for the Nintendo Entertainment System. They are:
1. Wheel of Fortune (9/88)
2. Wheel of Fortune: Junior Edition (10/89)
3. Wheel of Fortune: Family Edition (3/90)
4. Wheel of Fortune Starring Vanna White (1/92)

All four were published by GameTek, and all except the last one were developed by Rare, Ltd. #4 was developed by Imagitec.

And here now is my theory of: which of these four WOF titles for the NES was the most popular overall? For starters, I know the Family Edition version uses a different title theme at the beginning, what sounds like a reject from Wizards & Warriors (the other three have the signature "Changing Keys" theme song).

This is only a guess - but I'd say the first release. Why? Because late 1988/early 1989 was when the NES was absolutely in the peak of its popularity. The same is also true with the Jeopardy NES titles - I'd say the first one just called Jeopardy was the most popular.

Of course, personally I think Wheel of Fortune Starring Vanna White and Super Talking Jeopardy are the best of the lot.

Thankfully for us retro gamers, NES gameshow videogames cost next to nothing to add to your collection.

I've played the Vanna White version and I like it the best, I can't remember playing the Talking Jeopardy version so I can't comment on that one. It's strange, I never think about gameshow games when asked what games are good for the system yet I do have fun with this one whenever I play it. It always slips my mind for some reason.
