I'm going to modify my Genesis model 1 to output stereo. Just curious, would you go with 18 gauge or 24 gauge wire?

It really doesn't matter.

BTW, shouldn't it be "5200" and "7800" in your sig?

Yeah, I know it really doesn't matter. I just don't big thick wires to deal with, but I don't want to get something that's too small of a gauge either. As for my signature, I don't know what you're talking about. http://www.hobowars.com/images/mb_icons/hmm.gif

But really, I can't believe I did that. Must have been lysdexic at the time.

In a way it kinda does...thicker wires = more resistance.

Pretty sure that's the other way around. Either way, for short distances and especially for a simple audio mod, it's not going to make much difference.

Other way around. Smaller gauge will equal more resistance. However, I'm not talking about trying to push 400 watts at 2Ω over 20 feet.

Yep, exactly. Still, I think I'm just going to go with the 18ga wire. I mean, we're talking .50 more per spool. Now I just need to pick out a good soldering iron.
