Guess I'll start this off.

Stopped at a few Goodwills and found all of the following for about $50 total. Not pictured is seven girly adult mangas for my girlfriend.

Also not game related, but I needed a new radio for a 97 Camry I just bought as it still had the OEM radio in it. I decided I wanted the Pioneer DEH-P8400BH. It sells for about $170-$190 in retail stores still, and online for $130 and up. I found an open box at best buy that was still brand new for $90 plus they had a %10 open box sale going on so it was even cheaper!

Just got a couple of Steam games in trades: Don't Starve (a survival game by the developers of Shank and Mark of the Ninja) and Mini Ninjas (by... the Hitman / Kane & Lynch guys.)

... yeah, talk about weird dev stuff, heh. :P

Nice wrestling score.
I been thinking about picking up some wrestling DVDs to watch at work on break. I might get a copy of the ECW and rise and fall of WCW DVDs.

Yesterday I hit up a Value Village and a Goodwill for the first time in over a month. Picked up 5 games for just under $20.

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f106/Krillz4Millz/0EB7C5F0-FB82-4E85-9478-620F5A891C00-2975-000001A14C9C86B1_zps44d12836.jpg

Syphon Filter, Soulblade and Medal of Honor were $2.99 each and the genesis games were $5 each
All complete besides Altered Beast. Didn't have the manual.

I was about to pick up a copy of WWF Smackdown but $2.99 was too much for it.

Mini rant: Who prices the games at Value Village? Half the games that were there had $2.99 priced on them but in the same pile also had games priced at $5.99. A handful of them were the same games as the $2.99 pile. Like wtf?

Pricing on games and gamestuff really varies at thrifts. I once went to a reuzit where a loose joe montanna football was under glass and priced at $3, a complete NFL 94 was under glass and priced at $4...And a copy of lion king for genesis complete with box, manual, gargoyles ad and full-size jungle book poster was $1. I think they thought it was a VHS tape :D The clerk was in her 60s and knew it was worth more, but was totally down with it because she exploited the same shop to get rare santa figurines for pennies.

They also had this plastic vertical casette tape storage rack they wanted $5 for while they wanted $3-2 for all the other storage racks. Would be nice for genesis, but a little pricey for that. Had half a mind to switch stickers but decied to just let it be in the end.

Everything but Halo wars was $40.
Halo Wars I bought at this game store for $15. I been trying to find that game forever. I'm happy I found it.

$40 bucks for all the anime. I'm not an anime fan but my sister loves it. So all is for her.

I hope you didn't pay much for the Trigun boxset because it's a bootleg. The rest of the sets are legit though.

You are correct. It's all good. As long as its plays in a DVD player, it's all good

Resistance: The Gathering Storm book
Mass Effect: Ascension book
Perfect Dark: Initial Vector book
Resident Evil: Genesis book
Resident Evil: Extinction book
Mega Man 8(PS1) $3
Super Mario 64(N64) $4

All the video game books were 50 cents each or 5 for a dollar. I haven't read any yet but I can only imagine how bad the Resistance book is going to be considering how much the story of the first game sucked. The Mega Man and Mario games were also from Goodwill. For some reason I can never find complete Mega Man games in the wild, no matter which system they are on. I either find disc only copies or disc/cart and manuals.

http://i494.photobucket.com/albums/rr306/THE-1-2-P/GEDC2368_zps76576b5c.jpg

3DO Import Lot

This 3DO lot(some of the games I'm not certain of their titles) was snagged for alittle under $200. It only seems like a lot of money for them but it was actually a really good deal because the money games are still sealed. I wouldn't mind keeping some of them for my collection but I expect a pretty decent return on them.

http://i494.photobucket.com/albums/rr306/THE-1-2-P/GEDC2355_zps081fa57d.jpg

Pokemon Pokedex $1.50
DDR: Mario Mix(GC) $4
The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind(Xbox) $4
Razor Blade Smile screening copy vhs $1
Resident Evil: Dead Aim(PS2) $4
Grand Theft Auto IV Soundtrack Sampler $1
Snes/N64 A/V Adapter $2

All of this stuff came from Goodwill. I keep finding copies of Morrowind like they are pennies on the street and most have been in very good condition. Resident Evil: Dead Aim is a game I've been looking for since, well for a long time. I don't have a light gun for my PS2 but I'll probably just play thru it with a controller since thats how I played thru RE: Survivor. I'm not sure if the Grand Theft Auto disc was a preorder/promo or if it was just included as part of the collector's edition of GTA IV. Either way it was a pretty neat find for a dollar.

So you know when family knows you collect and think of you when they are out shopping? My sister just brought me this from a Goodwill:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v297/Nesmaster/IMG_0279_zpse01e33d6.jpg

Faria for the NES.

Expensive for a Goodwill at $10, but it does sell in the neighbourhood of $50 around here so I can't complain. :)

Really nice shape too for an exrental, the only signs of being so was a little sticker on the back that lifted right off and the contacts were in great shape (although I still polish new games to my collection before playing them).

Nice Sunday surprise anyways. :)

One thing about this packaging that's kind of cool is that the packaging the game itself came in identifies itself as a "SEGA Recycled Pulp Tray"...of all the things SEGA did for gaming, I'd never think they actually made an effort to help the environment.

SEGA just one-upped awesome possum big time.

EDIT: even though the pics don't show it, it DOES have the hangtab as well. I know a few people get super iffy on those things.

EDIT2: Fantasia finally came in the mail. Expected a loose cartridge for $3.40....got it COMPLETE IN BOX. Definitely happy about that.

Here’s my weekend pick ups..

I’m to busy to get out to flea markets like I used to so I’m catching the late timers..and I’m also meeting up with friends to trade off item finds..

I get a call to go check out a mini electric motorcycle ,it was nice but $50.00...I passed that’s every day price..I don’t need any more electrics

This is the weekend of finds items..

everything goes for sale..

the Mac Mini was a friends,it works, his daughter used it but from what I was told it lacks enough memory for what she needed it for..(selling it for them)

Everything else was between $1.00-3-5 10 depending on the item..

I have sooo many boxes of controllers now that I need to start selling them in bulk.

Wow, a backlog of finds. :p Sorry. I just hadn't bothered with these things lately.

Freakin' Photobucket is adding garbage to my file names again... ugh. Anyway.

Story time. I was wandering through my local flea market on Saturday when I noticed a booth had a bunch of red looking things inside. I got close and noticed... they were... uh. Foxes.

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/DP/dp-2013-02-02_zpsecf392e2.jpg
They're from a game company called ChangYou. They make MMORPGs for the Chinese market and have a few that also work locally. The booth had hundreds of these and it looked like they didn't know what to do with 'em. I grabbed a pair for me and one of each for my nieces, and that was two bucks. I told a friend about these and he whined, saying I should've gotten one of the keychain ones for him since he likes to put stuff like that in his Derpy Hooves pack thing (I know, I know.) So on Monday I grabbed one for him and two more for the nieces. I intend to give each of them a pair on Saturday when they come visit. (They're 16 and 8 respectively. And yes, both love to play with their uncle Dave's games. :P)

And today's finds:

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/DP/dp-2013-02-06b_zpsf7f2a4b9.jpg
The PC game was fifty cents. The DDR game is brand new and cost me five bucks.

... shut up.

Other finds from the past few weeks:

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/DP/dp-2013-01-16_zpse34d3bb1.jpg
Cantinflas Show 5-DVD volumes 1 and 2 (new, $1 each)
Savage Sisters ($2)
Los Caballeros del Zodiaco: La muerte de Hades (new, Mexican bootleg, $1)
La maldición de Nostradamus (new, $1)
La fuga del Rojo (new, $1)

Some of you guys may remember Cantinflas show under its American name, Amigo and Friends. Caballeros del Zodiaco is a bootleg from Mexico. How it ended up in the US, I dunno. The Nostradamus flick is... well, one of his descendants is an evil wizard and wants to take over the world. And a scientist must stop him. La fuga del Rojo is a typical 1980's action flick with the man that gives Chuck Norris nightmares, Mario Almada. :D

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/DP/dp-2013-01-30_zpsf2b88ac8.jpg
Then last week I got this stuff. And Action Man for the Dreamcast.

This week:
http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/DP/dp-2013-02-06a_zps354c8755.jpg
Pink Floyd / Dark Side of the Moon (SACD remaster from 2003) - $1
Save Ferris - Introducing... (EP, $1)

The Save Ferris EP sounds SO DIFFERENT from their first album!

This is from yesterday and today:
http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/DP/dp-2013-02-06c_zps5b9e528c.jpg
Ninja Warriors (new) - $1
The American Poop Movie (new) - $2
La venganza del Rojo: La fuga del Rojo 2 - $2
Camino al infierno - $2

Sadly, the Ninja Warriors DVD doesn't have a Zuntata soundtrack. Also, what kind of jerkbags add the movie trailer BEFORE the movie itself? They spoiled everything! I have no idea what American Poop movie is about but the title was catchy. After getting La fuga del Rojo the other week I found out that there was a sequel, but idiot sellers want big bucks for it. And then I found it here. :D And Camino al infierno stars Mario Almada's younger brother, Fernando... which I already owned in a three pack (http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/DP/dp-2012-11-04.jpg). I didn't realize it because the artwork was different. Oh well, no big loss.

Well, this month certainly started off with a bang.

Heading down to a local GameStop earlier this week, I was met with a surprise. They were in the process of tearing down their PS3 Kiosk. Apparently, they no longer had any space for it and they had been told to trash it. I have a very good relationship with the employees and manager there, so I asked if there was any way I could have it. After some discussion and a couple of phone calls with the manager, they agreed to have it ready for me that evening. When I came by to pick it up, they had removed the television and the console. I was already planning on using my own PS3 console, but I had to put some consideration into a replacement for the television. I dismantled it, loaded it into the back of my SUV, thanked the crew, and headed home.

After some contemplation, I settled on using a PS3 3D Display for the kiosk. What better way to compliment a PS3 Kiosk than with a PS3 TV? I bought one from a store that still had one in stock along with an extra pair of 3D glasses. Unfortunately, when I opened the box and examined the television, I found that it actually isn't meant to be mounted. There are some screw holes on the back, but they are too close together to fit the kiosk. I took some measurements and drafted up a plate that would fit the holes on the kiosk to the holes on the back of the display. The next day, I had the plate made and the television mounted on. The picture quality is fantastic and the 3D is quite impressive.

Overall, I am extremely happy with the way this turned out. I was able to save a kiosk from being destroyed while adding a fantastic piece to my room.

I'm glad for you too man. That is super cool and I applaud your ingenuity and can do attitude. I wonder who ended up with PS3 and TV that were originally in it? I could see the Sony Rep wanting the PS3 back but what would they really do with a TV specifically designed for the kiosk after the kiosk was scrapped? Good on you for saving the kiosk from getting tossed out and very cool set up!

The store manager claimed the PS3 unit. Apparently, the district manager agreed to sell it to him for cheap. It was his first PS3 believe it or not, so he was very excited about it. I'm not entirely sure about the television, but I believe the district manager claimed it. I took a couple of snap shots of it first though, including a picture of the model number on the back. If I ever want to restore it to original parts, I'll have that information on hand.

Got fired today, that was fun. Guess the gaming gods decided to throw me a freakin bone and this fell into my lap. The SNES actually works (gonna get a good bath next week, more pressing issues in the meantime I'm afraid) and some really surprisingly good finds in here that I didn't know were that valuable. So here's the list...

The better stuff - Breath of Fire, Breath of Fire 2, Super Mario World, Super Mario All-Stars, Turtles in Time, Mega Man X, Super Metroid, Soul Blazer, Contra 3, Spiderman Maximum Carnage, Castlevania 4

The rest - Phantom 4040, Marvel War of the Gems, Frank Thomas Baseball, Incredible Hulk, Taz-Mania, Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, Earthworm Jim, Mortal Kombat, Donkey Kong Country 1 and 2, X-Men Mutant Academy, Killer Instinct, Street Fighter 2, Act Raiser 2, Final Fight, Street Fighter Alpha 2, Spiderman X-men Arcade's Revenge, Justice League Task Force, and Jurrassic Park

All total 80 bucks. Woot.

Woot.

007 Goldeneye box(N64) with random game $4
WWF Wrestlemania 2000(N64) $4
Brothers In Arms action figure $2
Just Dance(Wii) $4
Smallville cd $3
Women cd $3
Shot Glass...heh $1
Aliens Vs. Predator: Extiction(Xbox) $4
Billboard cd $3
Final Fantasy III(DS) *read on*
Super Mario Kart(Snes) $4
Legend Of Zelda: A Link To The Past(Snes) $4
Mario Paint(Snes) $4
Turok(N64) $4

Every now and then I find boxed N64 games in the wild but when they are found at Goodwill they don't always have the game inside. Goldeneye wasn't in the box so I just put some other random wrestling game in there. But I'm sure I will find another cart only copy of Goldeneye to complete the set. Atleast Wrestlemania 2000 was in there because I needed that for my collection. While I would have rather found a Just Dance game for Kinect I grabbed the Wii version since I heard they were pretty popular. The shot glass is a gag gift for my girlfriend and I picked up the cds at different Goodwill locations.

This was the first time I've ever picked up a Aliens Vs Predator game and after hearing about how cool the series is this game is a....real time strategy game:confused: Oh well. I might become bored enough to play it some day. The Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past is also the first copy of that game I've ever picked up. I hardly ever see this in the wild, especially for an affordable price. But I use to say the same thing about Super Mario Kart and I've now found three of those in the last year. Then we have Final Fantasy III. Even though this was only priced at $2.92 I wasn't sure if I wanted to pick this up at the thrift store, until I opened it......

http://i494.photobucket.com/albums/rr306/THE-1-2-P/GEDC2376_zps881bb829.jpg

Inside were copies of Final Fantasy III(DS), Final Fantasy V(GBA), New Super Mario Bros(DS) and Children of Mana(DS). On top of that, the cashier marked this down for their half-off sale, so instead of the $2.92 it was marked for I only paid $1.46 for all of that. I have been buying video games from that store for awhile and they never include video games in their half-off sales. But it was a damn good deal so I'm not going to complain.

Do you have more pictures of that Los Caballeros del Zodiaco disc? I want to check to see if it's a bootleg - there are actual legitimate Los Caballeros del Zodiaco DVDs from Mexico (in regions 1 and 4). Towers Entertainment appears to be the licensee for Latin America. Or just let me know if it has any regions listed on it at all.

Oh it's a bootleg.

It's using badly translated fansubs. The subtitles are hardcoded. The menu is one screen. It has seven random episodes instead of a full "arc". And the logo looks like it was blown up from a GIF. The region, as reported by the disc, is 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 AND 8. (Not just 1 through 6 like many R0 DVDs.)

Oh yeah, and it has Jimmy Neutron on the bottom right corner of the front cover (http://www.filmaf.com/search.html?has=0192162&init_form=str0_has_0192162).

This is a printed disc, not a DVD-R, which is weird but... I think there's duplication factories down here and since Mexicans will turn a blind eye to anything as long as the money is right...

3DO Soccer Kid and Battle Chess were $2 each at a Salvation Army. 3DS Finding Nemo was marked down to $7 from $14.99 and Xbox 360 Singularity was marked down to $3 from $6.99. Even the woman behind the counter was surprised. Both are unopened. On a related note, I think somehow Target has pumped more copies of Xbox 360 DJ Hero 2 to local Goodwills than were ever originally available in the store in the first place.

Activision would not pay to extend their James Bond license, so all Bond-related games they released are now out of print. So you might not want to wait -too- long.

There seem to be quite a few titles on R1 DVD with Spanish dubs or subs on them - Ghost in the Shell: Special Edition from Manga, for example. Zima Entertainment released several boxsets of Studio Ghibli movies in Latin America on regions 1 & 4, with the original Japanese audio, and Spanish subtitles along with a Spanish dub. If you have any anime available in Spanish on a region 1 DVD, please let me know.

I've mostly found Blurays, not DVDs. Depending on the store, they can be incredibly cheap ($4-10 USD) or incredibly expensive ($20-40 USD).

There isn't anything like Amazon down here - you know, a store where you could browse everything that's available. Zima's website is pretty barren, too. I wish I could help out, but most of the stuff I see is just totally random. :\

Cuatro Peliculas de Alfonso Zayas - $1
Motocross Zombies From Hell - $1
100,000 Watts (lots of music videos) - $1
Champion Joe - $3

I got those three first movies from the same place I got those Mexican DVDs in past weeks. Motocross Zombies had already been for sale, but I didn't pick it up, I think. The Alfonso Zayas collection... well, it's a bunch of bad comedies. Really bad. The main actor was pretty popular in the 70's (on TV) and 80's (in this genre) but these days he mostly does direct to video garbage. 100,000 Watts is interesting, it's an unauthorized DVD from Mexico with lots of music videos, including Michael Jackson's Bad. I haven't opened it yet. Motocross Zombies is an American (Latino) film, it just looks stupid so why not. :D

... Champion Joe was the REAL find. Look at it. The series has never received any official releases outside of Japan, and here I found this thing, published by a "legit" company, with security seals and all. That was $3, which is a bit more than I wanted to pay, but it's just so strange... I couldn't resist.

Tai Seng is a distributor of martial arts films mostly... I guess since Ashita no Joe is about a form of fighting, it fit somehow? Obscure, yet legit North American anime DVD releases FTW.

Most of the legitimately available Latin American anime DVDs seem to be on Amazon or MercadoLibre. And not cheap... :| Oh well, I tried.

FRIDAY ESTATE SALE

My friend went to an Estate sale Friday.
He knows I look for mini motorcycles
So when he saw this 1970's Honda Mini Trail - 2/15/13 he called me right up..
Call called me just as the guy said the price $1200.00

http://youtu.be/BFNLwmKo_Yo

At that sale: the guy had piles and piles of collectables...
I went to take a look today with my friend and we picked up a bunch of stuff.
This is what I brought home to resell:

I picked up this Robot Fish LED Store display .
It’s heavy, plays a commercial demonstration of the toy when you press the button,..
Inside is two batteries and and wiring, plus the tough LED screen that can be used for other things..
It’s quite unique..I don’t know what to do with it..sell it as a display or use the screen for gaming..

And IMO a really cool non video game find!

http://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd158/car_show_fan/carshows2/IMG_0622_zps5908051e.jpg

found south park and quake 2 for the n64 at a local second hand shop. 2 bucks a pop

The game genie which came with its manual! I got at a local video store (yes we have one left!). The owner has took up selling old games so thought i'd stop by and see what he had. And i been looking for a NES game genie but all stores want like 20-30 bucks for it. I got this guy for 10 bucks.

Now for the Non Video game find!

http://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd158/car_show_fan/carshows2/stereoscope_zpsb80ec521.jpg

This... is a turn of the century Stereo scope made in the late 1890's. Its used to view cards that would allow your brain to perceive to almost identical pictures (with slight changes) in merging to see them almost like a 3d image with Depth. I've seen these on the show Oddities and recently on pawn stars. Saw this guy and instantly fell in love to add to my strange historical collection! ^_^. The shop owner wanted 40.. I got him down to 30 for it which i am happy with!

I had a busy weekend for finds. I did some 'Stop Hoppin' and general running around to any place I thought carried gaming stuff that I felt like looking at.

On Saturday I went up to Best Buy to jump all over their President's Day Sale they had going on. I snapped up all of these brand new...

Pokemon Black 2 $15
Pokemon White 2 $15
Kid Icarus: Uprising $15
Paper Mario Sticker Star $20

The one game I wanted, Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask, is sold out all over town. :|

At the various Gamestops around town I went to, I picked up the following...

Mugen Souls w/CD & Mini Artbook (new, gutted but was my reserve copy from forever ago)
Blades of Thunder II (DS, used) $4
Touch Mechanic (DS, used) $3
Doctor Laurtec and the Forgotten Knights (3DS, used) $10
Capcom Classics Collection Reloaded (PSP, used) $7
Star Ocean: Second Evolution (PSP, used) $13

I also checked a couple of Half Price Books locations that are further out from me and found these...

Chess (PS1) $2
The Final Round (PS1) $2
Pro Stroke Golf (PSP) $4
Star Wars Rogue Leader: Rogue Squadron II (Gamecube) $5
Strategy guides for Phantasy Star 0 and Nostalgia $9 each
Hello Kitty Roller Rescue (Gamecube) $5 and a pair of Clifford Edutainment games (PC) $3 each (for the girls)

Today I went to GS and HPB over by my house. At the GS I found...

Code of Princess (3DS, used) For niche publishers like Atlus, Xseed, Askys and NIS I try to buy new if possible but someone had just traded this in apparently and it was in really good shape along with having everything such as the outer carboard box and CD/booklet.

At Half Price Books I found

2x Call of Juarez Bound in Blood (PC, new) $1 each (One for me and one for my friend)
NFL 2K1 (DC) $1
NHL 2K (DC) $1 (The disc has marker on it so it may be going back :|)
The Flintstones Bedrock Bowling (PS1) $4
Disney Learning Adventure: Search for the Secret Keys (PC) $1 (for the girls)

Sorry for the lack of pics but it's quite the haul stacked on my desk. ^^;

I'd say gut it. I personally tossed a ton of those at my previous job, essentially they're digital picture frames running an SD card with a demo video on them. If you disassemble it you're more than likely to see that the outer shell doesn't completely cover the unit, as in it doesn't completely close. The gap is where it slots into the cardboard. Most companies started using those for product demos as they're cheaper than the traditional armored talkers from years before.

Got the one in the center of the picture for the hefty price of free. They where scrapping the entire machine. I got one and stripped parts from the others. It's a complete Naomi dedicated Derby Owner's Club World Edition slave. I'm going to redo this machine so I an play six button games. I just purchased Spawn and Vurtua Tennis to start out.

On Thursday, the copy of Tales of Rebirth (PS2 Version) I ordered from Solarisjapan.com arrived. Including shipping and the Paypal fee, the total cost was just under $15.00.

I had a heck of a time figuring out how to use their checkout system though. The first time I went through it, I chose "Credit Card though Paypal" as the payment method. But instead of going to the Paypal site, it opened up section in the actual checkout screen to enter the cardholder's name, CC number, expiry date. However, it didn't ask for the security code or my billing address. It seemed odd to me, but I tried it anyway.

Of course, my card was declined. I even tried it couple of times, just to make sure I didn't mis-type anything. Finally, I decided to try "Paypal Express Checkout" option instead, and then it redirected me to the actual Paypal site where I could enter all my CC info correctly.

After submitting my payment info through Paypal, it redirected back to the Solaris Japan site. And that I got a message stating there's something wrong with my shipping address! So I had to fix that as well! I think I spent a half hour fiddling with checkout before I successfully submitted my order.

With the right parts that could make a sweet Densha de Go! cabinet.

Nice score! Also, be sure to keep an eye on your bank account as the details surrounding that redirected checkout sounds a bit fishy so be careful :yipes:

I used a pre-paid Visa card to order the game, so it's not tied to my bank account. If something does happen, I'll only lose what's left on the card.

Regarding ToR, I'm slowly getting the hang of the battle system. My favorite character to play as is Tytree, because it's easier to pull off combos with his speedy attacks.

I am so glad I didn't let the flu keep me in bed today.

Biohazard 3: Last Escape (with spine card)
Beatmania (Main + 2nd Mix Append disc + manual, no spine?)
Beamania Append Gottamix (with spine card)
Stranglehold (PC, sealed)
Instinct (PC, sealed - rated 1.7 on IGN!)
Taiko Drum Master (game only) with PS2 Memory Card

For the total of THIRTEEN DOLLARS. This particular seller brought a ton of movies, CDs, and games. I saw way too many copies of The Sims there, yech. Still, I grabbed everything except Beatmania and she told me it was $11 total. I hesitated but I figured the Japanese games would be worth it for the trade factor. Then I came back later and found Beatmania in a pile of stuff next to where I found Biohazard and Gottamix. She said $2. I'm broke now but damn I got some good stuff.

Fun fact:
That memory card only has two files: The PS2 configuration, and the save game for Taiko Drum Master. Both were last modified in 2007.
