In Europe, a free Ni No Kuni (http://www.joystiq.com/game/ni-no-kuni) familiar - they're essentially monsters you defeat, recruit and then train to fight for you - has been available for download. On February 12, Namco Bandai will extend the gesture to North America and offer the same critter, named Draggle, as a free download.
Draggle is a plump little domesticated dragon said to have "downright adorable eyes" that families looking for a pet seem to favor - at least, so says the little guy's PSN page (https://store.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/#!/en-gb/games/addons/draggle/cid=EP0700-BLES01555_00-ITEMIMP006070000).
