Hey I just joined. Been reading some stuff and this place is awesome. :P
Just a quick question, would I be able to use a JROK RGB to Component adapter on my M1 Genny? Would I have to add any extra hardware to be able to display it on my 32 in. LED TV? I would just do a S Video mod but my TV doesn't support it...
Thanks for any help or insight.

Sure, RGB is available quite readily. The problem is mounting the JROK board as well as getting ahold of one.

Yeah I was thinking about getting a project/hobby box from Radio Shack and putting the JROK in there, so I could use it for all my consoles in the future. I found places were I could get one for ~$80.
I just wanted to know if it could work, lol. Thanks!

You could, but $80 is rather expensive. Especially if limited to only Genesis once installed.
It'd cost less to get an external RGB to component box you could hook up to any compatible console you want.

Yeah, but I said I was going to make a box outta the JROK, so I can make my own RGB cables for each console.

I've opted for pre-made SCART cables that get converted to Component with RGB-YUV converter. Though my HDTV isn't 100% on reading the 240p signal.

That's what I'm doing as well. I am going to do the stereo mod as well. This sounds like a lot more work. I would be interested to hear the possible benefits over a pre-made SCART cable and a converter.

Thanks for the replies :)
What SCART to Component has the best results?

From what I've been able to find out, most people tend to recommend the CSY-2100.
