hypnosec writes "Mojang has officially released Minecraft: Pi Edition for the credit card sized Raspberry Pi. Back in November, Minecraft was ported to the Raspberry Pi, and it was revealed that Mojang would release a free version of the game. The game is completely free and is now available for download. Even though the game will carry only a limited set of features, the cost and complexity of building and hosting a Minecraft LAN-party has definitely dropped." From the looks of it, you should be able to run it on any ARM system that can run Debian Wheezy. More generally, the idea of a tiny box you can just turn on and have a server for a bzflag, Quake, etc. tournament is appealing. http://a.fsdn.com/sd/twitter_icon_large.png (http://twitter.com/home?status=Mojang+Releases+Minecraft%3A+Pi+Editio n+For+the+Raspberry+Pi%3A+http%3A%2F%2Fbit.ly%2FXt qs45) http://a.fsdn.com/sd/facebook_icon_large.png (http://www.facebook.com/sharer.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fgames.slashdot.org%2Fsto ry%2F13%2F02%2F12%2F027230%2Fmojang-releases-minecraft-pi-edition-for-the-raspberry-pi%3Futm_source%3Dslashdot%26utm_medium%3Dfacebook ) http://www.gstatic.com/images/icons/gplus-16.png (http://plus.google.com/share?url=http://games.slashdot.org/story/13/02/12/027230/mojang-releases-minecraft-pi-edition-for-the-raspberry-pi?utm_source=slashdot&utm_medium=googleplus)
