Hi everyone. Just some questions on the WonderSwan, a system I don't know much about. Does anyone own one? Do you enjoy it. I believe it's a Japanese system, are the games all in Japanese? Mostly I think it's interesting, and because I feel they're not that common. Trying to decide if it's something to look into or forget about. A game shop near me has the system and games for sell. Thanks for your time.

How much is everything? What are the titles of the games?
Its an interesting piece of history since it was made by the Gameboy creator's company to compete against it.

It was marketed by Bandai, as were many of the games for it. The result: Mostly kids' anime shovelware.
Besides the few monochrome bones Capcom threw at the system, forget about it.

There are actually quite a few good games for it.
OP, is it a B&W, color, or crystal unit?

Pretty good FAQ sheet Manhattan, answered most my questions. I mostly was asking because the place had the Final Fantasy bundle and I thought it was pretty interesting. Granted I can't read Japanese so the game wouldn't be too playable, but still kind of cool.
Ah good I was gonna suggest DPs own Wonderswan FAQ which is very good too, just look under FAQs

If you're interested from a rarity angle, don't bother. It did half decent in Japan, so the hardware itself is fairly common. But if you're just interested to play, sure, go for it. It's a pretty cool little handheld, and while there are a lot of text-heavy games, there is still a good selection of English-friendly imports for it.
