Let's see, the kid goes missing at noon. After only 2 hours, the parents panic and call the cops. A dragnet is in place shortly thereafter. At 5 p.m., three hours after the cops and media are on the scene, little bobby is found THREE F*ING DOORS DOWN.

I say, take the kid away from the parents. I've seen people have better tabs on their cocker spaniel. I can understand time being of the essense if your child goes missing, but whatta bunch of morons. THREE DOORS DOWN FOR CHRIST'S SAKE.

They couldn't have searched very well if in 2 hours, they didn't think to call the neighbours. But, I guess in a panicked state that some parents would be in, with all the media hype of the kidnapping cases in the past year, maybe they weren't thinking that clearly.

And heres me jacka$$ response:

Bill the parents for the search.

My parents knew the numbers to all my friends houses and where I was at all times up until I was 14 or so... I couldn't get away..

That's pretty bad. I pulled the same crap with the NES once when I was a kid, and wound up being about two hours late for the "time to go home" deadline. I think my Dad found me in about 20 minutes of looking around the neighborhood, and he had no idea exactly who's house I was at. Super sleuth? I don't know, but I never pulled that one again.

I bet the parnts blame it on video games. how ridiculous.

They should be shot in the face and their corpses burned with lighter fluid to prevent them coming back to life as faster, more vicious crimson head parents.

jeeze, after two hours the parents go ballistic. next week, look in the paper and it'll probobly say that the boy was up in his room when the parents brought the story of the missing boy all the way to the president.

It's entirely possible that this was the FIRST time their son had ever been to that particular neighbor's house. Children aren't always as predictable as you might think, and if you were maybe new to the neighborhood, or never really talked to your neighbors, you might not think of checking their houses to see if your son was there. For example.. My oldest brother, the first born of the family, was about.. three? four? years old when he got out of bed at about 5am one morning, opened the front door, and went outside to play.. My mother, getting up a short time later when my father had to get ready to work, noticed he was missing & couldn't find him. Why? He was playing in a ditch at the other end of the field, and was out of her range of vision. With young children, the possibilites can be ENDLESS, and yes, kidnapping would probably be foremost in mind.

I would ventue so far as to say that the neighbor who's house he was at is partially responsible. I know when I was a kid, and other kids came to my house to play..if they were there for more than 2 hours, my mom would call their parents to make sure they knew where they were. It's common sense to think that most parents would be concerned if their child hadn't come home for 5 hours.

When I was little I went over to my neighbor's house and was playing StarFox on their SNES.

My dad found me a couple of hours later. My mom was worried sick because I didnt tell here where I was. Never did that again.

Statistically boys are far less likely to get kidnapped then girls.. This being a boy is probably the only reason this ended on a 'Nintendo' note and not a 'body found' note..
