I came across one of these (http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-TOMEE-NINTENDO-NES-DOGBONE-CONTROLLER-/320641540035?pt=Video_Games_Accessories&hash=item4aa7b99fc3) for sale on Mercado Livre (our eBay). It's kinda overpriced (R$60!), but still, an easily accessible dogbone controller - and I REALLY want one of those! Does anyone know anything about this pad? Does it play nice? Is it worth it? Thanks!

$60??? :eek 2: It lists for US $15.99. I'd definitely buy some if I knew that they were worth a damn.

Dude, if you wanna give it a whirl, it's cheaper on ebay ($6.99 w/ free shipping) here (http://www.ebay.com/itm/NINTENDO-NES-DOGBONE-CONTROLLER-NEW-/321078108412?pt=Video_Games_Accessories&hash=item4ac1bf20fc).

Do NOT buy. These things are cheap knock offs of the original Nintendo versions. They not only are vastly inferior in terms of quality, but also comfort. Save your money and buy a real Nintendo version. You'll be thankful you did. This thing is a total piece of crap. I thought of doing one for a controller chornicles episode, but if I did it would just be a PSA to tell people not to buy this thing.

Thanks for the tip...buit I think they won't ship to Brazil for free! And yeah, pretty expensive, isn't it? Even for US standards, given that R$ 60 = $30.7944 today. The eBay link you provided has clearer pictures, and the plastic looks a little cheap...

EDIT:

Thanks for the advice! As I said before, it did look a little cheap on the eBay pics. I won't bother buying it; hopefully someday I'll find a good deal on a real dogbone pad.

I just handled a Tomee dogbone at a local store yesterday, and let me echo Satoshi Matrix. It is super light and the d-pad and buttons are very, very unresponsive and mushy. Definitely pass on this.
