So, I recently saw this game briefly mentioned on Game Center CX and decided to check it out. I was happy to find it was translated, patched a ROM and ran it. When I booted it up, I wasn't expecting much, just a standard old RPG.
Oh, was I wrong.
This game is brilliant. It's a parody of old RPGs like zelda and dragon quest and it's absolutely unforgiving in how often it lets you know.
Some of the more humorous occurences within the first few minutes of gameplay:
-An old man in a cave who literally says "it's my duty to wait in this cave and give items to people"
-When you fight normally, it's in a cartoonish "cloud" and battles are automated a LOT like tingle's rosy rupeeland on DS. When you get a sword upgrade, walking into standard enemies literally knocks them off of the game screen
-When you die, you immediately wake up in a hospital and your character questions how the hell he got there.
I tried not to give away any gags that directly relate to the story, but trust me, it's chock full of them.
If you like zelda, the tingle RPGs, or earthbound, I HIGHLY reccomend giving this a try...it's sort of all three at once.

Anyhoo...besides that, anyone else play this game before and have anything to say about it? Try to avoid spoilers as it's pretty obscure and most probably haven't tried it :P
