I have never really gotten rid of any of my gaming stuff (if I did I have probably bought it back at some point) But was wondering what things you guys wish you still had that you sold, gave away etc etc. For me it was my rather large comic book collection, after years and years of going to the comic shop every Wednesday and buying lots of books one day I just decided to stop buying and get rid of all of them. I had about 16 long boxes of comics all organized, sorted, bagged and boarded just how I wanted them, and I was pretty proud of it too. I posted the ad on Kijiji and the next day a buyer showed up, loaded up his van handed me a bunch of cash and left. The exact second I saw the van pulling out of the driveway I knew that I #@$!ed up and it left a pit in my stomach that still nags at me to this day.
I know this post got kind of long but what stories do you guys have that left you with regret?

I sold something like 20 of my NES games to a local rental store in about 88-89 or so. Couldn't have been much later since I moved in 90 and it was near my old house. A few I later wound up rebuying (cart only, where as the ones I sold were CIB :() from Funcoland. That's how I discovered there was more than one version of Pro Wrestling out there. My original one, which I bought new when it first came out, had the bug where playing as King Slender made you go through twice as many matches to win the first championship, but the used one I got from Funcoland didn't have the bug.
Anyway, while I regretted it, I apparently didn't regret it enough, as I later wound up selling almost all my SNES and Genesis games (CIB) to Funco and some other similar places (via the mail, not in store). Boy do I ever regret that, especially ones like Phantasy Star 2 with the hintbook and everything.
Only thing I've sold since was WCW vs nWo for the N64 which I sold to Funcoland, but I don't regret that one as I'd imported Virtual Prowrestlng 64 which was the same exact game engine and had 99% of the guys from the other one, but had a bunch of extra guys and content as well.

My Gamecube, and my Game Gear..
I sold the Gamecube because, well, I bought a Wii. I didn't need a Gamecube anymore.
Then I got into importing and realized my Action Replay/Freeloader didn't work on the Wii. So I bought myself a new Gamecube...
The Game Gear I didn't play much...though shortly after I started missing it, a friend of my dad's was getting rid of his and gave it to my dad, who gave it to me.

While I don't regret selling anything because whenever I did it was because I really had to, I do regret not collecting right in the first place. I bought too many things that nobody else wanted. When it came time to sell certain things, I really had a hard time getting rid of some of this stuff. For example, if you collect Atari 2600, Intellivision or Odyssey 2 commons make sure you get it really cheap to begin with and be pretty sure that you will always have room for them even after your collecting priorities change to games from later systems.
For example in 2011 I paid $10-$15 each shipped for about 10 complete in box Atari 2600 games one by one on ebay. I tried selling them in a lot on ebay many times and nobody bit until I threw in a couple untested systems from a thrift store and lowered the price to $40 shipped. 1 bid was all I got, and in the end I only got back $10 of the $125 total I think I spent to get the stuff. Nobody else was willing to pay anywhere near what I paid for the cheapest buy it now's! But what else can you do when you need a few extra bucks and that's all you have left to discard?

Metal Gear Solid and the little pamphlet thing you could buy for it...I regret lending it to begin with, though.
And yeah, I shoulda put money towards better stuff back in the day...oh well, you live and learn! A lot of the stuff I care about is still nice and cheap if you know where to look.

Probably Super Metroid. I had just got it from a friend and work started picking up, so I just went ahead and unloaded it. I would've added Mario RPG here...but I did get a Jaguar out of it, so..eh.

My dad selling his comic book collection is mine.
My dads collection of comic books was no where near 16 long boxes. I remember when he started selling it in the early 90's right before the internet took off so private sales wasn't possible. Had to deal with local brick and mortar comic book stores for selling. My dad had probably closer to 2-3 longboxes worth but still managed several hundreded dollars even back then because a lot of them were key issues.
That is probably my biggest regret my dad selling his comic book collection along with the games I sold as a kid. I also miss my original tamagotchi's. I don't miss sports trading cards, pokemon cards, pogs.
I also miss some of my original spawn early series action figures. I was really young when I collected them and wouldn't get back into them now. I want to get laid still lol.

In the late 90's I had a massive Tandy Color Computer collection - massive hardware wise anyway. I had the monitors and disk drives which are very expensive now and hard to find. Fortunately I have more actual coco computers than I did back then (especially coco 3's) and a crap load more of the carts since I had mostly disks back then. Still I had a lot of boxed disk games that I sold for almost nothing when ebay was new and not many coco collectors seemed to be around.
I also regret getting rid of my sega power base converter a couple of years ago because my SMS seems to be on the fritz. I figured I didn't need the PBC with having an actual machine but now I wish I still had it. Miss playing Rampage on the SMS, love that port.
Most of the other things I've regretted getting rid of, I've reacquired over time so as long as I don't repeat the mistakes of the past, I'm golden :)

At various points I have owned just about all the NES super rarities, including all the Taito games (including several Flintstones 2's), Action 52, Tengen Tetris, All the Color Dreams titles, Chip & Dale / Ducktales 2, literally all of them except Stadium Events. Unfortunately I sold just about everything 10 years ago, and while they were all valuable back then, just about all of them are worth even MORE now. So I don't regret getting rid of these games because I want them, I regret getting rid of them because they've gone up even more in value.

Only counting things I consciously sold, I REALLY regret selling my no-sound SNES jr with the controllers and hookups for $8 last summer. I can't find OEM SNES controllers ANYWHERE now, and they're all nearly $15 online.
I also sorta feel dumb selling my copy of intelligent qube CiB when it was only worth $30 since I never really gave the game itself a fair shake - I was afraid I would break something that simultaneously fragile AND valuable. As a whole, I've been trying to keep more rare carts than discs since they're a bit sturdier and can survive quite a lot more.

I can't limit myself to just one thing, so I'm gonna provide a list.
1. My PC Engine. I had the "Briefcase" model, and about fifteen games (I had a TurboGrafx for American games). But at the time it seemed like I'd never be able to afford more games. I've seen re-bought it.
2. Earthbound. My original was cart only (I have a CIB now) and at the time I was down on RPGs, but I should never have gotten rid of it.
3. Chrono Trigger and Secret of Mana. I owned CIBs of both, sold both to overseas collectors in order to fund... something I don't even remember now and thus, was probably not even important. I later wound up wanting to play them again. I have both now, but not CIB and my replacement CT is kinda shoddy.
4. my Robotech collection. I used to have every episode of the anime series and all 21 of the Jack McKinney novels, as well as all the Macross Animeigo sets. And now I'm into Robotech again and I'm re-collecting all this stuff.
I've by no means stopped selling/trading stuff, but I've since learned to apply a standard to it, to learn to sense which ones I'm gonna want back.

My ultimate regret was before I joined digital press. I had 4 arcade machines which I had to part with. Ms Pacman, Galaga, Jungle King, and Centipede. I spent a lot to store them, should have gotten them fixed. Breaks my heart.

First would be the three factory sealed copies of Castlevania: SOTN I opened to trade into Gamestop(this was before I had an ebay acount). And second would be the 3DO demo binder that I had to sell around 5 years ago when I lost one of my jobs and had to make rent. One of these days I'm going to try and get another one of those.

I kinda regret selling my SNES, but I wasnt able to get many games for it to begin with, and now Id just get one of those carts where you store a whole ton of roms on and play with cheat codes. I did however get Silent Hill 2 with some of the store credit, and I love that game to death. So overall I dont really regret it too much, but just because I cant afford to collect all the games I want for it in real editions.

What pamphlet came with MGS? I have owned the back label twice, almost since it's release and don't recall such a thing. I never did pre-order it nor buy the long box if there was a US version. I pay very close attention to the franchise so I'm a bit curious now.

Yeah I mean look at me. I'm just starting my 4th collection. Except for the first time when I was a teenager and sold things due to poor condition and emulators, the rest of my selling had to do with financial issues. But I realize I blamed financial struggle too much on simply losing my job. I realize if I had built my collection up more gradually instead of getting 70 system models and 1700 games in 3 years' time I would have had a lot more income in savings to lean back on when I needed to find a new job.
That is the key. Take the collecting more slowly and don't spend your money till its gone. Set an interval for buying things per month and follow that. Having extra money saved up instead of spent greatly reduces the chance of you having to resell your collection just to live. Time will tell if I have to sell the upcoming collection as well or not. Hopefully this will be the last one I decide to do, and hopefully I can keep this one reserved to my actual gaming experience only buying worthy titles. If I can't beat it or it made me too mad, I'm not going to put it in my display.

At what age is that? I still have all original consoles from when I was a teenager forward.

This is why not to sell your stuff. But without sounding braggy, another poster said it well. Pace yourself and put some funds back as you can. That way, financial difficulties won't sink your collection.
Only thing I ever regretted was selling some 2600 games way back when, but I have reacquired all them anyway. Also, i loaned about 10 NES games to a nephew and never saw them again, but have replaced those as well.
The only other thing I can think of is that my wife's brother was a thief and stole my NES Arkanoid CIB with VAUS controller, along with my copy of Karnov, for drug money. I have also replaced those, minus the box for Arkanoid, so all is good.
I sold a rgb modded Nintendo 64, thinking it would be easy to get one again if I needed one.
I can get one of course, but would have been better off just keeping mine, because it seems like they've doubled in value since then.

In that regard I suppose this would be my second collection since I no longer have any of the original systems I had as a child. But I still don't see how you can keep starting over. I totally understand that sometimes you HAVE to sell certain items for bills(which was one of my regrets listed in my first post) but if I ever sold my entire 800+ game and 20+ system collection I don't think I'd ever be able to start over again. Not so much because of the money but because by that point I would probably move onto something else, just like I no longer collect comic books or baseball cards.

If I ever just up and sold my entire collection, I'd probably just stop collecting altogether, haha. Way too much time and money spent. Although, if I do trade or sell nowadays, it's strictly duplicates only (which I'm sure a lot of people only trade dupes too).

When it comes to collectibles I see this all the time in almost every way imaginable. That is a big danger when accumulating too much of something in too short of a time. I also have seen it cause lots of problems with spouses. Collecting can be a addiction just like the gaming side where someone plays too much games to the point it causes them problems. I see this quite often with comic books and the key issue collectors between that and the volatile market of pop culture collectibles it can lead to bad times.
In that regard I suppose this would be my second collection since I no longer have any of the original systems I had as a child. But I still don't see how you can keep starting over. If you played video games then you would end up collecting them just on the premise that you'd buy new games to play and if you didn't sell/trade them then it would become part of a collection.
I don't collect sports trading cards either any more because I don't like them. I have in a technical sense started a comic book collection a 2nd time since getting rid of mine as a kid.
If you like something you can get back into it a infinte amount of times. To question that probably means you're invested in something that you started losing interest in.

I think the main reason I am able to keep starting over is because I become pickier every time I do it. I keep on reducing my collecting goals:
#1 Default collection of childhood gifts -> #2 Anything and everything -> #3 CIB only -> #4 Very top favorites only
Makes sense?
And oh yeah, I never did 100% sell off everything in each process. I managed to retain about 35 retro games from my last collection that I intend to keep, but I still have some that I know I won't miss if I ever sell them.
Games that were newish at the time never really counted toward my collection or sales because they just couldn't be emulated or copied yet. I still have quite a backlog of Gamecube, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, and 3DS where I haven't decided one way or another what is a favorite and what is not. I'm collecting PS3 RPGs because it's doable and I want to try them all at least at some point before I pick and choose what I like and don't like.

At one point I sold my original Game Boy and all my games.
Including my complete copies of Mega Man V and Castlevania Legends. I don't necessarily miss them because of the monetary value (tho that does sting), but I ended up missing them afterwards. I've since regained most of the games, but not those two. I'm not interested in paying those kinds of prices.

I did for a time regret selling my new-in-box Vectrex. I bought it from somebody who had purchased it, the light pen and a swath of games from Toys R Us on clearance. What I paid them for it was more than they spent on it all but was still a steal.
The box had a TINY bit of damage where the tape that sealed it had ripped off some of the cardboard, but inside the Vectrex was still in the plastic bag it shipped in.
But, I could never really fully enjoy it because it was SO mint that I felt guilty playing with it.
Wound up eventually selling it all to a serious collector for a nice profit and as much as I missed owning a Vectrex, a few years later I picked up a used one in good working condition at a NAVA meeting, got the Sean Kelly multicart 2.0 and I've been good to go for guilt-free Vectrex gaming ever since.
Can't think of any other MAJOR items that I regret letting go.

Back in 2004/05 I bought a loose copy of Earthbound off E-Bay for about 50 bucks. Back a few years ago I was hard up for cash and wasn't into retro gaming very much, so I took it to the local used game store and sold it for $75 and $75 store credit (I'd also thrown in a old cracked, yellowed, Super NES and a handful of bad games). Technically I made a profit... but boy do I regret it now.

Regret most definitely in the early 90's at least.Any time i wanted the latest console it was selling or a trade to get the newest console for me.I couldn't expect,my parents to buy the latest one just because i wanted it in those days.Going from the NES,TG16,SNES and Genesis and so forth.Up until the 32-bit era at least i decided i would try to keep the consoles i bought if i enjoyed them still. It wasn't until id say around 04 that i rebought the ones that i own before.
When i first bought my first (neo-geo cmvs) that gave me that itch for more classic gaming. So i started with a pc-engine then famicom a genesis and as of last year a sfc.Looking at back it though some of those consoles i should have hang onto.Mostly because 'how the value has spiked for some.

I haven't started losing interest in gaming, I just take on more responsibilities the older I get and have less time for gaming. And my initial reply was more so in reference of me not wanting to start all over again in amassing an 800+ game collection.
I think the main reason I am able to keep starting over is because I become pickier every time I do it. I keep on reducing my collecting goals:

Yeah I get what you are saying. Each time you restarted you had different goals you wanted to accomplish.

Although I have been selling off parts of my collection over the last two years to make room for other stuff I think that if I really wanted to get rid of everything there would be much less incentive for me to want to start over again. So now I'm trying to trim it down to the main things I like. After that I'll try to trim it down further to the stuff I can't live without. I'm still collecting as I go thru this process so it's almost like a never-ending story for me unless I just decide to sell everything all at once in one transaction.

Probably my worst regret is letting my small magazine collection I started gathering when I was a teen get water damage. I pretty much had the first year's worth or close to it of Electronic Gaming Monthly, Video Games and Computer Entertainment, Game Player's Nintendo Power and GamePro.
I moved them in a box to my shed but didn't know there was a tear in the metal, causing the box to get wet. I was so mad I let them sit on the porch to toss them. When I got wise thinking that as log as I could read them, it didn't matter it was too late- they got soaked from a rain storm and turned to pulp.
It wasn't until years later I found an issue that survived over at my parent's house that I recollected. Most was easy but now it's getting expensive, especially for EGM's.

I still regret having to sell off my first game collection. Like many others here have confessed, I also found myself out of work and in desperate need of rent money (around 2001, I believe). So I ended up losing my beloved PS1 RPG collection (including Suikoden 2), my SNES RPGs (Chrono Trigger), and about 300 NES carts that I ended up selling on ebay. But the one thing I seem to miss most is my complete in box Coleco Adam computer. It's ridiculous how much these things are going for now. While I dearly miss that stuff now, I know that I did it for the right reasons so it's hard to feel too badly about it. Still, I'll probably never regain a lot of that stuff. Sure, the collection I've amassed since then is even bigger, but I'd be a lot more proud of it if I'd been able to hold onto that original stuff.

I sold my gamecube and all its games, keeping only the gameboy player, tales of symphonia, and megaman x collection, to purchase a clone system and a bunch of games. I didn't get a bad price for the lot but there are quite a few games I've had the urge to play since then, especially the Zelda collection. I sort of felt like a jerk too because my parents bought me that when I was younger. I bought another gamecube after a long while, eager to play it, but then my dog chewed the cord. XD At the end of the day I realize that they are just things and especially common games, but GC game prices seem to have shot up quite a bit lately. I expected them to do the opposite.
I would probably feel much different if I sold something particularly rare. first world problems right?

I was in middle school and wanted money for games to play on my SEGA Genesis, so I sold my SEGA Master system collection, figuring I would never use it. Everything was mint condition--that's why I miss it. I could reacquire every game, but every damn game I see for sale is filthy by comparison to how mine were. I kept the posters, manuals, mail-in survey cards. The cases and labels were pristine. I hated opening the cases because I didn't want to bend them too much. Anyway here's what I remember from my collection:
Model 1 SMS
3-D glasses
Space Harrier 3-D
Missile Defense 3-D
Spiderman
Alex Kidd in Shinobi World (bought this for $10 on clearance just because I liked the other Alex Kidd games--no idea it was rare)
Alex Kidd in Miracle World
Alex Kidd the Lost Stars
Castle of Illusion starring Mickey Mouse
Spellcaster
Rampage
Joe Montana Football
the "Great" sports games
Pro Wrestling
oh yeah...and Golden Axe Warrior.
Funny thing about that last game. I asked my mom for Golden Axe, since I had played the arcade game. She would call 1-800-USA-SEGA and order from them when my grades were good. She placed the call and I waited for Golden Axe to arrive. I was so bummed when I opened the package to see it was Golden Axe Warrior. Man I was mad. I ended up playing and liking it a lot. She had a way of finding cool, rare stuff for me as a kid. I had never heard of the 3-D glasses when she got me those for Christmas with the two 3-D games. My sisters and I loved that present. I'm guessing it would cost $300+ to reacquire all of that--likely nearly $500 if it were pristine. Pisses me off and makes me sick.

The 300 to 500 dollars to reacquire that stuff may be worth it to have some peace of mind. I don't know how many times I've gotten rid of something and ended up paying 2 or 3 times what I initially paid to get it back. I guess I have finally learned my lesson by now.

I sold my cart only Earthbound on eBaytwo summers ago when they were still going for $100. Huge regret.
I also sold my complete copy of MUSHA.
Talk about mistakes.

Yeah, I have a few:
1) The items I sold from my first stay in Japan to finance my second stay over there. I let my CIB Rockman Megaworld, Dracula X/Bloodlines OST, and Link to the Past OST go, and while I got decent money for them, I never found any of them again at reasonable prices. (it was worth it in the long run though since I ultimately found many, many more treasures during my second stay)
2) My game magazine collection. I had complete runs of Nintendo Power, VG&CE, GamePro, EGM, and Game Player's from their inception until around 1993 or so. I got tired of how much space they were taking up, so I ended up chucking the lot of them. (I did keep the first issues of each, along with a few other choice issues, and I took an exacto knife to the ones I was pitching and cleaved several hundred specific pages for keepsakes) I also minorly regret trashing 2 1/2 years of Famitsu/Dreamcast Magazine, but there are limits on what you can feasibly transport from one country to another. Speaking of which....
3) The X-Men vs. Street Fighter Cyclops/Ryu standee I was given by a game store employee in Japan. Again, it served me well for several years (often as a tie rack), but it would have been impossible to transport.
4) Some of the game cases I threw away before returning to the U.S. I kept all artwork and manuals (and anything cardboard) because of weight considerations (I sent ~10 45-lb. boxes of stuff home even after these sacrifices), but sacrificed many of my Saturn/PS1/DC and other cases since I reasoned that I could replace them all stateside. While that was true for 90% of my games (hey, a jewel case is a jewel case), I didn't take into account things like thickness variances, 3- and 4-CD cases, etc.

My regret is getting out of video gaming entirely in the 90s, selling off my NES, Genesis, and later selling off my Gameboy Color with Zelda DX. Everything I owned was purchased brand new, and kept like new and complete, and sold for next to nothing because they weren't worth much before Ebay. Now I have to buy games that have been owned by slobs that throw away the boxes and despoil the manuals and carts.

My C64 set. It hurts whenever I think of it. Sure, I had like only 5 or 6 genuine games and hundreds of copies. But I also had a floppy station, two or more joysticks and a fresh-looking white version of the beast.
I sold the whole thing for about the equal of 45 dollars.
I hear you. Due to unforseen financial problems I had to sell my Vic-20. It was my 1st computer. My dad gave me his Vic when he upgraded to the 64. I miss it. In the meantime my finances have rebounded and I've built up a nice Commodore collection: An Amiga 500, a C64, and an SX-64. Lately I've been wanting an A8 but now this thread has me thinking I should just complete my Commodore collection with another Vic.
Update: I was able to buy back my dad's old Vic20 from the fella I sold it to. So I'm happy to report my Vic has returned home safe and sound.
Castlevania Rondo of blood. great game I should have kept.
sometime I regret selling Battlesphere then I remember how much I hated it.

Easily it was selling off my entire N64 collection at a Funcoland back in the day. I hadn't played the console in a couple years at that point but I didn't need the money but figured I'd rather have the money than a console collecting dust. Man did I ever get ripped off too.

Talk about painful. As a fellow Commodore collector you have my deepest sympathies. What a prize the very 1st single board computer by Commodore/MOS. If my memory serves me the Kim-1 was the granddaddy of all 6502 microprocessors. The 8-bit 6502 microprocessor and its many variations/offshoots were used in the Vic-20, C64, Atari 2600, Apple II, Atari 800, NES, and many others.

I have so many regrets about selling stuff off that I don't know where to start. One that bothers me was a trade that I did, not that there was anything wrong with the trade, but I just didn't end up using what I traded for.
A number of years back I traded a complete copy of M.U.S.H.A. plus complete copies of Phantasy Star II, III, and IV for a LaserActive. I got a good deal because I only paid $6 each for the games, but I ended up never really using the LaserActive.

Not that I expect anyone to cut me a deal or serve it up on a silver platter, but Aerofighters for SNES. I had this along with many other games for the system and then same on the NES with some of its gems too. I ended up out of work, in debt, then working 2 jobs to barely not break even some months so I had to part out most of a 2000ish game collection and over a dozen systems and it was a victim. In the last 4-5 years I started attempting to recover which I did not hold onto that really still mattered to me.
The only remaining losses is that game which I even had with the manual and poster, and I suppose if I cared that much, the Earthbound box (got the game+guide back.) I refuse to touch that game at the $300-400 price point it wobbles between consistently for the last year or so. I know odds are I'll never get it and accept it as I can't feed the greedy beast that exists no longer.

I traded my entire Super Nintendo collection so I could get a ps1 when it came out. I had almost all of the desired RPGs. Chrono Trigger, FF3, FF2, Illusion of Gaia, Secret of Mana, so on and so forth, all went for $50 with the system. Worst deal ever. I pretty much don't trade games to retail stores anymore after realizing that mistake.

I had like 1200 invested I believe I made most of my money back maybe even made a little money but I want it all back! maybe a neo geo x will help at a fraction of the cost and keep snk going lol

Yup Sonic Wings is cheap and that if you meant that website is pretty generous since it has turned primarily into a reseller site in the buy area and they don't even take into account the ebay fees so that's good for you. I know I could just get that and be over it, but it's the principle of the matter that I had it and was forced to lose it. In this game's case I'd rather not have it, than have the import, but had I never owned it before I'd grab the SFC game in a heartbeat. SFC had some really amazing stuff, part of those losses was over a couple dozen SFC games that I really enjoyed a lot. Of those either SDF Macross or Spriggan Powered would be the most expensive currently.

You know, I never did sell any games. I did, however, lend my Eartbound and guide to a guy I worked with at a Taco Bell whaen I was 17. It was pristine, as I'd bought it new at Wal-Mart for $15. The guy quit a few days later and I never got it back. I replaced it a few months later with a used one. It was complete, but the guide was in rough shape, so it was a downgrade. I still have that one, and as a result, I actually have a spare box. It's missing the insert, but I have 2.

Wow that sucks and is cool at the same time. The stuff I do have were both lucky finds. EB I got in CA 3 years ago for $2 for the cart sitting on a bunch of clothes at a flea market surrounded by some madden pc games some mexican woman had. Then a year ago a local here was selling the game, guide and mach pizza air freshener locally and I got the guide for 60 in near perfect shape other than 1 card missing to get the pizza thing. Ive been hoping to luck into the box that way as paying $150 for cardboard was madness to me.
Also the interior tray is on ebay for $20. I know the guy who made it, it is a 100% identical copy of the original molding so you can not tell its new. He was like me a NA member, but when they found out about that they threatened to ban him if hedidnt stop selling it and he refused to be told what to do off site so he got popped. Hes a great seller and has lots of good tools, replacement batteries and even perfect laminate back stickers for nes and snes carts too.

I'm not sure if it really counts as 'gotten rid of', but after a house fire I didn't go back to retrieve some things that would have survived albeit probably covered in soot (but maybe not, I'm not sure). The house was boarded up shortly after I retrieved anything vital that night, and it was months until the home was repaired. People had been through the place the day after the fire and stole shit (New Orleans vultures), like all of my Genesis carts (I used to keep the carts separate in a cassette carry case) and entertainment center components. M.U.S.H.A. was one of the games in that stolen lot, but I repurchased it on eBay for 20 bucks a year later before it became a fucking $200 game.
The things that I regret not going back for were all of the original boxes for all of my game systems. The only one I haven't reacquired yet is my Atari Jaguar box, and the Styrofoam for my Colecovision. There was also this really cool, stackable wooden caddy I bought from a thrift store that I stored my Amiga 500 and some other gaming things on. I really wish I had that thing today, it would be perfect for my workstation.
As for what I've SOLD and later regretted, honestly, I can't think of anything. There are some things I've sold because I needed to off a few things for a few extra bucks when I've been in a pinch, but I don't regret the decision, I just miss the items. My Phoenix Wright collection is one of those things. I sold them for far more than I purchased them for, and it really helped out at the time, and I do miss having them, but I'd do it again if I was in the same situation.
