McDonalds Treasure Land Adventure.

An unusually creative game that's incredibly well-designed, especially for a licensed title, with some of the best music on the system. By TREASURE and easy as pie...and the only game you'll find with both of those in common :P

There is a version of Ms. Pac-Man for Sega Genesis. It was the game my whole family liked including my grandma who played it all the time when I was at school. There is an easy mode and you can even turn on Pac-Booster to make her move faster.

If you don't find Sonic 1 & 2 easy enough I wouldn't bother with the sequels as they are more complex. Sonic 1 is probably the easiest because it has less moves that you need to master and is a little shorter. Sonic Spinball I can agree can be frustrating at random times because that game just has to do with how well you can aim that day. On a good day you can breeze through it but other days you keep going through the same false exit over and over again getting warped back to the flippers.

I beat all of the Sonic games many times but most others I was into I would consider a little bit harder than those.

I'd actually say sonic 3 and knuckles is the easiest and most streamlined of the classic genesis games. It has battery backup saving, WAY easier continue acquisition, and NO BOSSES WITHOUT RINGS.

MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was going to ask this very Same question. I can't beat or even hardly play any of then. I asked this about PS1, picked up the suggested games and I'm still wack. I usually have more fun watching friends play.

I thought "Castle of Illusion" starring Mickey Mouse was pretty easy. I beat it in a day or two. Plus, it is one of the best games on the system. Beautiful graphics, and excellent gameplay! If you like that, try Quackshot. It isn't as easy, but fun and easy to get into.

On the subject of game genie, is it true that you can play JP Mega Drive games with one without filing down the cart?

Yeah but the most valuable part of using Game Genie is you can enter codes to bypass the region lock for the few games that have it. :)

I'd agree that Sonic 3 is probably the easiest Sonic game for the system, try and find a copy and if you like it then pick up Sonic and Knuckles. The other Sonic games (1 & 2) both have debug codes that are available on the internet which are fun to play around with.

Streets of Rage 2 is always fun to me as well, but if you want to beat a game Game Genies are pretty helpful and don't cost that much I believe.

That's only if she can get past the Carnival Night Zone barrel without a guide or auto-fire controller with the bubble shield.

I completely agree with this, I always get caught up in the Labryrinth Zone in Sonic 1, thise water stages and that boss are brutal. Sonic 2 drags on forever, it has like a million stages, and I always run out of continues by the underground mine levels. Sonic 2 also has the most brutally dificult bonus stages to get the emeralds. Sonic 3 is a perfect balance of fun and difficulty

A fun little game that is challenging but not difficult by any stretch - Flicky. Its one of the early release game IIRC and its an arcade port. Its a little hard to find but a lot of fun.

Filing down the cart?! How about just widening the Genesis cartridge slot to the Mega Drive standard and popping in a region switch? Same thing crosses my mind when I find Super Famicom games were someone cut lockout grooves into the cartridges. They'll do all that work to every import game they have but won't take 45 seconds to pop out the SNES region tabs.

Back to modding your Genesis - also means no Game Genie codes every time you want to play a game. Also some games are multi-region such as Streets of Rage / Bare Knuckle, the region setting denotes if the cartridge boots the Gen or MD version.

Since nobody mentioned it, Mickey's Ultimate Challenge. I vote this game has the most ironic title possible as it's one of the easiest games I've ever played.

I can easily spend a couple minutes trying to make that damn jump to get off the endless waterslide in Labyrinth Zone Act 3, and then I recall you don't get a checkpoint until late in the level.

Hold the d-pad in the direction of upstream then press jump. (e.g. if the water flows right to left, hold right then jump.) You won't miss again.

Unless your timing sucks.

Altered Beast.

It's the only Genesis game I've finished recently.

Some Genesis games I'd characterize as easy:

Ariel: The Little Mermaid (be sure to play on Easy or Normal before trying Hard)
Arrow Flash
Bonkers
Double Dragon 3 (as long as you realize all enemies are invincible for 5-10 seconds after you knock them down)
Exile
Greendog: The Beached Surfer Dude (this is borderline, there's some tricky platforming in a few places)
Pinocchio
Shadow Blasters (ridiculously easy)
Sorcerer's Kingdom
Sylvester and Tweety in Cagey Capers
Toys
World of Illusion
Zoom

Flicky is cute, but my understanding is that it's very difficult to finish.

Desert Demolition is one of the easiest platformers for the console and it's also fairly well made. I remember the Genesis Jungle Book being easy, but that could just be in comparison to the Lion King which was hard as hell.

Out of everyone I know online, only ONE guy has both the patience and skill to beat Genny Spinball, and that's out of the entire Sonic Paradox team of 30+ devoted sonic fans. It is NOT an easy game.

I also recall Clayfighter being pretty easy, but I think may have adjustable difficulty and I was just playing it on super easy as a kid. Either way, I ran straight through it with Tiny the first time I played and thought I was awesome at fighting games for about a week.

You can increase that number. I've beaten it at least twice. I'll probably get it for Mega Drive in the future but it's not a priority acquisition for me right now. :P (I beat the US version years ago.)

I've beaten it many times all my life since I got it in 1995. It's not as hard as it is annoying. It still has some fun packed in with the annoying though. I've only beaten the Game Gear version a couple times and thought that version was a lot worse and far less controllable.

The easiest games i can think of are -
Golden axe in multiplayer once you learn to stand on a different height of the screen and do the jump/attack move.
Paper Boy I or II i am not saying it is dead easy as it is an arcade game but it is easy to get into!
Outrun 2019
Micro Machines again quite easy to get into and a great laugh multiplayer
