It's about a pop culture specialist that counsels collectors in a therapeutic kind of way to get rid of their pop culture collections. Hence why it's called collector intervention lol.

Basically it's about collectors that collect pop culture items to the point it brings them trouble in their life that they hire a pop culture therapist to help get rid of their collections or part of it. Do any of you think video game collectors are the next step to making it to shows like this? It's already there with pop culture toys.

For those of you who haven't seen it and are hardcore collectors, I highly recommend you check it out. There is one season of one hour episodes.

I tried watching a couple of episodes but got tired of it. Especially when they had their "expert" come in who said that since they were an expert, they knew what stuff was worth, and what they should get rid of. Yeah, that's great if people are only looking for money. I am sure that there are many people who are collecting things not for their monetary value but for how much they like them.

In the shows everyone reason is different. One guy collected Hanna Barbera Flintstones items since he was a kid collecting with his mom. His mom died and he took the collecting into a addiction and was running into financial trouble. Like most reality shows these days a lot of it is scripted but there is also a lot of truth to it.

And the troll is back, with his same tactics. Let me guess, this is another sad attempt by you to prove that those of us that have collections have a form of mental illness. If you bothered to do even a shred of research, you would find that this whole show was shown to be a fraud and almost everyone on it was lied to by the producers about what it really was. Almost all of the scenes showing items being sold were staged and most of the collectors who participated still have their collections including the items that were allegedly sold and more. There are people that have problems in life, including some collectors. Most collectors, however, do not have mental or emotional issues and perhaps it's time to look at yourself in the mirror and question why you would join a collectors community three months ago and spend most of your time here attacking people for collecting. Maybe it's because you are a very sad and emotionally unstable individual. That's my guess, but then I don't have a television show where I lie to collectors in order to create sensationalized situations for profit.
