I was at Circuit City yesterday trying to score at the DC clearance, (Tennis 2K2 for $9.96 - SWEET!) When I saw that they were still selling the GameShark. I was about to get it when I saw that there were 2 different versions of it. What is the difference between the GameShark CDX for$29.99, and the GameShark Lite for $9.99? (Besides price, OBVIOUSLY! :-) ) Can they both play imports? (My #1 motivation for getting one.)

I know the CDX can, but I don't know about the Lite. I guess that was your question, huh? I'd like to know too.

Yeah, pretty much that, and what does the CDX have that justifies it being $20.00 more...

cdx runs off the cd and memory card and the other plugs into the DC i think but do not quote me.

I have the GS CDX that comes with a memory dongle. It is required to use the GS to play with.
Lite version AFAIK is disc only and doesn't need the memory dongle. I'm not sure how it stores extra codes you may add but it will work with later DC games like PSOv2 that won't run when it detects a GS dongle in the VMU port.

Get the one called the Code Breaker IIRC. It's sold by Pelican and it's only $20. There's was a review of it on the Game shark code creators club detailing all the reasons why it's so much better than Interacts crummier Game Shark. It plays imports. I think the GS sold for like $45-50 and the CDX was $20 and was for if you just wanted to play imports but didn't want to pay $50 for the cheat codes ability. Stores were shrinkwrapping the CDX with Shen Mue 2 and selling it together.
