So I picked up Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3: Mutant Nightmare for the Gamecube today at a local game store solely for the unlockable arcade version of Turtles in Time. My son and I blazed through the first episode of the "new" game to unlock Turtles in Time only for me to discover that the soundtrack was completely changed. Crushed. Fortunately, this didn't affect my son's enjoyment, but it certainly put a sizable dent in my nostalgia and subsequent enjoyment. In addition to the new soundtrack that doesn't fit the game, the sound effect were poorly mixed in further taking me out of this aged button masher experience. Turtles in Time aside, beat 'em up, button mashers, generally speaking, don't really have
enough going on to lose any visceral punch. Anyway...

Anyone else feel cheated after unlocking Turtles in Time in Mutant Nightmare?

Unfortunately it was some sort of licensing agreement that made them change the music, Same as Crazy Taxi.

What version of Crazy Taxi lost its Bad Religion and Offspring soundtrack?!?! The PSN and XBLA ports, apparently. How very sad. Much, much worse than Turtles in Time losing its soundtrack as the music of Crazy Taxi is the life blood of that magical game.

As much as that disappointed me, it's a VAST improvement over the port of the first arcade game in Battle Nexus, where they cut out most of the sound effects and had ONE high pitched song play through the entire game. Actually, pretty sure it was the same as the horrible DOS port from a couple decades back (GOD I'm old) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gxzmUhrBLE0

It's not so bad because Crazy Taxi has the option for custom soundtracks, so I just put the music from the Arcade version on my PS3 HD and use it.

Same as way too many TV shows on DVD/BR.

There was an HD remake of Turtles in Time a few years ago on XBox live (it is no longer avaliable). It too had a different sound track than the orginal, what a let-down.
