Hey all! I have a technical question if I may...

I have quite a few PAL games for my 2600. Currently I have a Panasonic TV that actually auto-detects the signal so I can play an NTSC game, then pop in a PAL game no problem. No screen roll or need to adjust anything. I'm looking to put in a smaller tv (it's not hi def or plasma) but unfortunately it does not have auto detect.

Would something like this;

possibly work to convert the (PAL) signal from my 2600 to play NTSC on my tv?

Thanks!

I'm not sure if that converter will work, I remember some similar looking converters that converted 50Htz PAL to 50Htz NTSC which still wouldn't work on North American TV sets which are 60Htz NTSC. The converters that do the job properly are usually more expensive.

This is the exact POS one I've seen before, it looks a bit similar in shape to the one you listed. Similar price too.

This is the same one you posted, I'm not sure if it has the same problem as the one mentioned above but it has poor reviews.
