Apparently it is going to be a "surprise" that is so like Nintendo.

I'm wondering what the deal is with this top-secret product too. Hopefully it'll be better supported than the e-card reader... mine's got cobwebs on its cobwebs!

the smart move, if its feasible would be a handheld gamecube. i've always figured that was the reason for making those tiny game discs. at least that would boost the sagging cube software sales.

I would think that that would be prohibitively expensive.

This was my first thought. The GC discs are about the same size as the UMD discs for the PSP so it's entirely feasable that it could be done. They were probably afraid to cut into GBA sales but since Sony announced the PSP they needed something special.

As far as the cost, it should be cheaper to produce than the PSP unless they work in some of the PSP features like MP3 and DVD support.

Did anyone see the section about the rewards points they're planning on giving out? It would be nice if you could get things that were not available to the general public like T-shirts, caps, etc.

If it were a handlheld GC, would they release an adapter to play GBA games on it too?

i definitely think its a virtual boy II, its going to have virtual chat functions and Crazy FPS reproductions. imagine how much you can tip the market with quake(insert sequal# here) online with red high definition graphics....
