X'eye Question

So, I got a X'eye today and I was trying to load up a Sega CD game. The CD boots the game and goes straight to the music CD screen, where all I can do is select options (I can't use the controller at all, except to press the "option" selection right at the beginning. Does anyone know what the deal might be with that?

We tend to like to know what was up with these threads, as an old community and knowledge archive. :)
