My bvm just came in and i can't get anything to run except my ops using psn component cables and phono to bnc plugs.

My saturn and ps1 games all come up with a red tint and the picture is all over the place like there is no vertical sync, am i doing something wrong?

This is how I have it connected, ps1 > scart cable > female scart to bnc > bnc to analog bnc card, I have 4 cables for video, green, blue, red and yellow, since there is no yellow plug on the back i assume thats sync so i plug it in but i get nothing

Also how can I tell if my controller unit is busted? I bought a 9 pin serial cable but it doesn't seem to be recognized, any help???

Maybe just a sync option somewhere in the menu. Mine had sync on green or external sync. Fixed the flickering by choosing the other one. also not sure if all ps1 are RGB compatible.

i cant seem to get my bkm controller working at all, it might be damaged i dont know so im limited in what i can test

so far i've managed to get my ps2 and psp working perfectly, the psp using component cables with bnc phono plugs and the ps2 using scart. heres the wierd part, the ps2 works fine using the scart cable but only when its set to component output on the ps2 settings, as soon as i switch to rgb everything goes to hell, whats that about? i thought the sole purpose of owning this was its native rgb capabilities?

I don't know nearly enough about BVMs to attempt to help to troubleshoot this, but a few things come to mind:

- There are different wiring configurations that use the SCART-style connector. I assume this is fine because unless you used one wired up for the Japanese RGB 21 pin connection (i.e. for connecting to an XRGB) it should be fine.
- How about input selection from the front panel?
- And, of course, the different inputs themselves. I don't believe you can just plug any kind of input into just any connector. What's it labeled with? YUV, Digital, or something? You want something like "analog" of course.

PS1 does not output component. You'd have to find a way to tell the monitor to use RGB.

The inputs i used were all the analog bnc's although i did try the others, i cant input anything because my bkm unit i think is fried or something, cant get it working which is a shame because it seems the current settings are locked into super duper high contrast and low brightness, the screen is to dark for most games
