I could hardly believe the day my son beat me in Mario Kart. He was 8 at the time ..... and I didnt think it would happen for years later. I also lost to him in Micro Machines V4. It's just one track, but we love playing that level and he wins about 50 percent of the time. I still beat him on the other levels, but it will not be too long before he takes overcompletely.

I found Mario Kart 64 and Starfox 64 for 10 bucks at a thrift store yesterday. What a kawinky dink.

Uh, okay, congratulations? But there's nothing shocking or amazing about a woman who happens to be good at video games.

The best night for gaming is when me and my friends all played retro fighters. Killer Instinct, Street Fighter 2 etc... and my wife wooped all of us......laughing with her eyes shut and tears of laughter. She never played a snes before that. All we could do was laugh. Makes me chuckle every time i think about it.

My soon-to-be wife absolutely kills my score in Tetris (she hits over 200k, I can barely make it over 80k). I think overall I'm better at any other game, but she does put up a fierce fight in puzzle games and Mario Kart. She has won before on the letter for sure. We were just playing Balloon Fight today, and she won once, I one the second.

It's not so much that she is a woman, it was just such a heart warming moment, sharing in the experience.

I would love for my wife to play and be good enough to win.

As would I. The only game I ever really got my wife to play with me was my Pong home console.

I hope your wife is an overall pro. Otherwise it's just a bunch of people sitting around mashing buttons and pretending to actually play the games.

Button mashing bothers me quite a bit in fighting games. Its more enjoyable when someone is on your level or least knows some basics like cancelling or Kara throws.
