View Full Version : Anyone know how/why Vic Tokai's sweetheart deal with Sega came about?

They were given the American rights to titles like Columns 3 and Shinobi Legions, which were published by Sega in Japan. Even if Legions was the black sheep of the series, it seems kinda odd that Sega wouldn't even try to make some money of the name alone.

Of course, we are talking about the same company that decided to retitle Thunder Force IV for no apparent reason.

When you say "American rights," you mean "published games domestically," right? It's probably as simple as that Sega didn't want to risk publishing flops and just let Tokai do it.

man, feeling some deja voodoo right now for some reason
