Can you use the pro controller on Sega All Stars Racing Transformed Wii U?

The title says it all, can you, or can you not?

Don't own it, but apparently yes you can - and what I found were help forums indicating that the game should be LAUNCHED from the Wii-U menu WITH the Pro Controller or else the game will give priority control to the Wii-U Gamepad.

If you google "can you use pro controller with Sonic All Stars Racing" you'll find more than one thread in other dedicated Wii-U forums that confirm that it's possible.

I don't have a Wii U Pro controller, but I use a Wiimote and Classic Controller Pro whenever I play Sonic Racing Transformed on the TV. You can boot the system, launch the game, and play without ever touching the gamepad.
