http://www.storybundle.com apparently brings up different combinations of eBooks every now and then, and at the moment they've got quite the shiny collection of video game books:

The Making of Karateka by Jordan Mechner
Kill Screen Issues 2 and 6
Confessions of the Game Doctor by Bill Kunkel
Constellation Games by Leonard Richardson
Killing is Harmless by Brendan Keogh
Generation Xbox: How Videogames Invaded Hollywood by Jamie Russell

Pay at least $10 for:
Videogames: In the Beginning by Ralph H. Baer
The Making of Prince of Persia by Jordan Mechner
250 Indie Games You Must Play by Mike Rose
Phoenix: The Fall and Rise of Videogames by Leonard Herman

Constellation Games is actually a work of science fiction; there is a gushing BoingBoing review here:

Thanks for posting this, Mr. Pho. I've been meaning to read about five of the books offered for sale in this bundle and this is a good way to get them on the cheap! Plus the other six books/magazines look like they might be interesting reads too. Well worth $10.

It's back! Maybe not quite as good this time, but still pretty good.

Dreamcast Worlds by Zoya Street
Kill Screen Issue 1 by Kill Screen Magazine
Blue Wizard Is About To Die by Seth Barkan
Kill Screen Issue 7 by Kill Screen Magazine
The Guide to Classic Graphic Adventures by Kurt Kalata

Pay $10 for:
Vaporware by Richard Dansky
Rise of the Videogame Zinesters by Anna Anthropy
A Slow Year by Ian Bogost
Replay: The History of Video Games by Tristan Donovan

I am astonished to see Blue Wizard Is About To Die resurrected after ten years. For a book of poetry it was well regarded in that bygone era.

And I made a small contribution to The Guide to Classic Graphic Adventures . It is a hefty, comprehensive tome.
