Does anyone know if Konami released Antarctic Adventure in the arcades?

According to the Killer List of Video Games, Konami released a coin-op version of the game in Japan in 1984, but I’ve never seen one of these arcade cabs in person or online. Wikipedia states that the game may just be a rumor.

Anyone know for sure?

Thanks!

I don't think so, nor do I believe there was a model in Japan either.

A quick search in Japanese revealed no references to an arcade version (just mentions of Pentaro being in the arcade versions of Parodius). However, I did find this, which is kind of cool: http://blogs.yahoo.co.jp/showagamer/MYBLOG/yblog.html?m=lc&p=2 (it's about 3/4 of the way down the page).

Also, remember this is KLOV we're talking about, which has also had this listed as an entry for years: http://www.arcade-museum.com/game_detail.php?game_id=9117 The lack of administration on that site has led me to question almost anything unusual that pops up there.
