Hello,
I recently picked up a Taito Space Invaders Part II cocktail machine at a flea market. It wasn't powering up so I picked it up cheap. The first order of business was to remove about 10 Pokemon stickers from the cab. A hair dryer took quick work of that. Next order of business was to fix the power cord "hack". I want to just replace the power cord.

I removed the 3 boards to get to where to power cord connects inside the cabinet.

This is what I found. It appears the ground wire is not connected. Is this OK? Should it be connected? Was the original power cord a 2 prong plug?

From outside the cabinet where the power switch is there is a small hole marked 'E'. Does anybody know what that is for? This appears to be ground(?)

As a bonus pic here is what ~30 years of dirt sucked in by the fan looks like.

I plan on replacing that fan!
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Mike
