If there is one game out there that's hard to emulate, the honor goes to Sega's 1979 Monaco GP. It was one of the last known games to incorporate TTL discrete logic rather than a CPU. The sequel, Pro Monaco GP (1980), also incorporated TTL.

The different sound qualities in each video represent the varying degrees of these machines.

The game runs well on sega memorial collection vol. 1 for the Japanese Saturn.

I saw one of these machines up close at an auction recently. The screen is tiny!

Here's a decent working example of Pro Monaco GP (1980). Video is by RichieKnucklez.

Are you aware of the remake in Windows that was made more recently? It's extremely faithful to the original.

It was also found in the Sega Ages Memorial Selection Vol 2 for Sega Saturn (import/NTSC-J only).

Either way, it's an interesting game hardware/development aside. I always enjoy booting it up.
