Original XBOX AR MAX

I am having trouble with Action Replay Max for Original Xbox. The software is all loaded but it won't recognize my memory card . I have the memory card to USB adapter, but it doesn't recognize the device. Do I have to install the correct drivers? If so, where can they be found, I can't find them anywhere. I have Windows 8. Any help or tips I would appreciate it.

I have one as well never found drivers for windows 7 (probably because it is x64) I keep an old XP laptop around, it worked fine.
