Got a free game today!

nothing amazing but free is free. Bought what was suppose to be a CIB Rambo for the SMS. Got it today and there was no manual. Place refunded my money and said keep it.

Now I need to find a manual now, which is probably cheaper for me to find another CIB copy. There is a book only on ebay for 7.99!

I only paid 5.50 (free shipping) for this copy so oh well.

I've had a similar eBay experience that turned out to be bad. Some years ago I purchased an oversized cardboard display box for the original Silent Hill. When I received it it was very worn because It wasn't packaged properly. I emailed the seller and politely explained the situation. I didn't ask for a refund or anything, but the seller refunded by full cost and didn't ask me to send the damaged box back. The only catch was he/she also blocked me from purchasing anything from them, which I thought was pretty fucked up because I'd purchased a few things from them before, and their store had some really unique stuff. I suppose it was just a REALLY SHITTY policy that they had in place to cut down on headaches from jackasses who would try to exploit their very liberal refund policy.

Not exactly free, but on two accounts I've purchased games for ridiculously low prices that the sellers honored.

One was a copy of spanky's quest w/manual I got for 99 cents before shipping that was suppoesd to be $19.99, but the seller decided it wouldn't be worth the trouble to deny it.

The other was a copy of Sonic 2 Game Gear I bought for a friend for TEN CENTS FLAT (no shipping cost) that the seller GRACIOUSLY sent out despite the fact that he would lose money doing so.

There are still some cool people in the world.
