Fixed.

Honestly though, I prefer to buy my PC games through GOG, and they just had a whopper of sale like a week ago.

Well made my first purchase on Day 1.

A lil more then I usually spend on steam but hey gotta splurge a lil in life right?

Bioshock Infinite 30 bucks (half off from the usual 60 basically). I just started the first game too and already fallen in love with it.

You're wallet is telling you lies!! LIESSSS I TELL YOU!!!

Buy buy buy!!!! - Gabe Newell

btw I thought wouldn't it be hilarious if someone made a nod to Willy Wonka where everyones got the golden ticket and await for wonka himself to show up.

Only the gate opens and gabes there for valve and shows everyone the crazy deals going on. With of course game themed song and dance.

Close your eyes and count three.... Come with me... and you will see... A world filled with game deals.

So far there has been nothing that has really grabbed me. Normally by this point I've spent a small fortune. GoG's offerings are thus far superior. Still, plenty of time to go!

This is one of the lowest prices I've ever seen on Steam. The pre-2013 Tomb Raider games (other than Legend) are 62¢ - 80¢ apiece. So, if you want to buy the Tomb Raider games but don't want that gritty reboot (or Angel of Darkness, for that matter), just go to the individual pages and add them to your cart.

Squeenix is outright trolling GOG at this point. GOG has the first three games bundled together for $9.99. A few weeks later, Squeenix started selling each game on its own for ten bucks on Steam. Then they lowered the price to $7 each a few months back. (Check the price history. (http://www.steamprices.com/us/app/224960/tomb-raider-i))

I'd personally buy the GOG versions instead of the Steam ones - the GOG versions have a higher likelyhood of being updated with new stuff in the future, like DOSBox updates or possible 3DFX graphic support (if it ever gets added to the release versions of Dosbox.)

BUT. If you really want to get all the Tomb Raider games, including the new one, this is an excellent price. Too bad this doesn't include any of Tomb Raider's DLC...

With 30 minutes left on the deal, I nabbed L.A. Noire plus all of its DLC for $7.49. I've thought about it in the past, and I've heard good things, so I figured now's the best time to grab it.

I've caved and bought Doom III BFG Edition. Costs a fiver and includes DOOM, DOOM II, DOOM 3, DOOM 3: Resurrection of Evil, and The Lost Mission. I was thinking about getting the first two Doom games again anyway and I'm fairly sure that they cost more than £5 separately. I've got a disc copy of Doom 3 knocking around somewhere. I think this one is enhanced in some way* and it comes with a couple of expansions, so it all seemed worthwhile.

*EDIT: I just gave it a quick go. "Enhanced" is very generous. Half the graphics options are missing and it looks nowhere near as good as, say Sikkmod with the texture pack. At least Doom and Doom II look good...

I purchased Sacred Gold for $2.49. If Sacred 2 Gold hits $5 or less I'll purchase it. Torchlight 2 won the most recent flash sale so going to pick that up for $5 in 30 minutes.

Anyone interested in going in for a four pack Torchlight 2? Need two more people. It'll be $3.75 instead of $5.

I bought the vanilla version of New Vegas for only $2.49.

I would have payed double for the utlimate edition, but honestly, I doubt that I'll ever get to that DLC content. I'm still playing Fallout 3, and I do have the Game of the Year version of Fallout 3 with all the DLC, and I haven't even touched any of the DLC yet. So, I still have to go through the regular game, and then play all the DLC. I've probably played Fallout 3 for over 80 hours, but spend so much time just roaming the wasteland that it's the ultimate time sink.

I was very, very tempted to buy Witcher 2 for $4.99, but I have two issues with that game. 1. would I ever really get around to playing it ? 2. would my PC be able to run it properly ? So, just decided to hold out on that. The game that could get me is Skyrim for $9.99 or less. I'd actually buy it at that price, because I want to try messing around with the mods. However, if it's $12.99 or something, I'll still pass.

There are a bunch of games I'd buy at $5, but they are priced more in the $20 range right now. I have to wait a bit longer.

This Steam Summer Sale has been strangely light on my wallet. So far I've bought:

Borderlands 2: Psycho Pack ($3.39)
Borderlands 2: Creature Slaughterdome ($1.69)
Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army ($3.82, I got in on a 4-pack.)
Fallout New Vegas: Lonesome Road DLC ($1.24)
Fallout New Vegas: Gun Runners' Arsenal ($0.49)
Fallout New Vegas: Courier's Stash ($0.24)
Sanctum Map Pack 2 ($1.24)
Torchlight II ($3.75, I hosted a 4 pack.)
Indie Puzzle Pack ($2.50, has Chains, Gumboy - Crazy Adventures, Obulis and Vigil: Blood Bitterness)

So, not bad. :P

I'd recommend it. On its surface it might just look like a 2D Minecraft, but that would be oversimplifying a bit. There's the "make your own fun" building/digging/crafting aspect of it, but at the time I was into both I definitely got the sense that there was more of a "game" in Terraria - a lot more creatures, bosses, NPCs that would populate your buildings, special items, etc. It's a great world to get lost in and explore.

I have yet to even try it just like the 8 other games i just downloaded >.> I got other games to play first! >.<!!!

But from what I gather its basically a simulation game done in a perspective a rocket scientist. You have to build your rocket from scratch take in the factors of weather conditons and trajectory and fuel capacity and engine capacity and weight and all that stuff we take for granted when thinking about space exploration. and trying to get our lil guys up into space!! (Thats right SPPPPPPPPAAAAAAAAAACCCCCCCEEEEEE). From what I've been told by friends who looked into the game. Its about as close to the real thing as you'll probably ever get on your home pc.

When I bought SR3 a Summer Sale or two ago I actually avoided getting all of the DLCs, because I read somewhere that the Bloodsucker Pack permanently replaces your finishing move with some vampire bite thing. Not sure if that's actually the case, but I didn't want to chance it just to find out that it couldn't be disabled.

Having completed the game, the only DLC I'd say is a "must" would be the Season Pass, which AFAIK includes all of the mission pack DLCs. Following that I'd recommend Money Shot, which puts a flying jet bike in your garage that comes in really handy, and Special Ops Vehicle Pack, which gives you a fighter jet and tank. Everything else is mostly just outfits, along with a few oddball weapons and vehicles that I never ended up using because there was already so much sweet shit going on in the game.

The Bloodsucker pack isn't included in The Full Package anymore. Valve removed it from the pack after multiple complaints by customers about how it broke the game, but it's still available to purchase if you really want it.

And even if you do have the Bloodsucker pack, it CAN be disabled by modding the game on PC. I don't understand why Volition doesn't just patch the game so it fixes things.

So far, my only two purchases have been Super Sanctum TD @ $0.99 and Wizorb @ $0.74, but there are a crap ton of games I'm shrewding it up over in hopes of deeper discounts. Super Sanctum TD is awesome, I've had a craving for a quality tower defense and this is one has definitely ensnared me (plus, the 2D isometric presentation is rather cool). Wizorb's great, I've had my eye on the XBLIG version for the longest time but this was absolutely the moment to pull the trigger.

What's your take on Magical Drop V, would you recommend it? Apart from the (reportedly buggy) online multiplayer, is it more or less the same Magical Drop as always? And, yeah, I wager it's quite likely that Castle Crashers and Terraria come up again.

I played Magical Drop V for a while. It's nice, but it's kind of rough around the edges. The community forum suggests there's a whacking huge update in the works – I really, really want the Endless mode – but the developers keep putting it off for ambiguous reasons.

Anyone interested in going in for a four pack Torchlight 2? Need two more people. It'll be $3.75 instead of $5.I was about to jump on this before I realized that I actually bought it long ago and never got around to even installing it. @_@

So far, the death toll consists of
Deus Ex Human Revolution
Dust
System Shock 2
Fez
Gunpoint
The Swapper
Poker Night 2
Ys I+II

Deus Ex was three bucks and I could not quite turn it down. And I actually have a disk copy of System Shock 2, but I was told sparing myself the installation headaches might be worth $2.49.

I'm holding out for Incredipede, which showed up in the voting for $2.00. I'm also waiting to see if Penny Arcade 4, Ms. Splosion Man, Super Puzzle Platformer, and Bad Bots will get any cheaper.

I would have liked Mortal Kombat or Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara, but I doubt either of those are going to go on sale at all. If you want them badly enough, GreenManGaming does have them for 30% off at the moment, along with a lot of others like FFVII. Because you're obviously not buying enough already. :vamp:
http://www.greenmangaming.com/hot-deals/#

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon might be nice, but I bet it will be cheaper yet in the months to come.

And finally, I lament that there is no sign that Deathspank: Thongs of Virtue will ever drop below $15. Then again, I never played the first game, so perhaps I lament for naught.

Borderlands 2+ season pass, collectors edition upgrade, both character add-ons and about 10 skins all for $35. Not complaining at all considering I was close to purchasing it all a while back for like $130.

Enjoying it more than I thought I would. I was expecting it to be exactly the same but the characters and story are more fleshed out than the original and it doesn't feel as experimental which gives it a more unique and solid feel compared to the first one, combat is pretty much the same though which I expected, not a bad thing if you liked the combat the first time around.

Can someone tell me what exactly the point of these Steam trading cards is? It seems that I play a game and randomly get issued some cards. I can use a full set of cards to craft a 'badge' that gets me XP, that gets me some wallpapers or vouchers (or something?).

However, it is impossible to randomly get issued a full set of cards by playing the game (you are limited to, say 3 of 6). This means you have to pay cash to get your missing cards from the market place, or trade with friends.

The whole thing seems really long winded and just a money grabbing scheme. Do you actually get anything good at the end of it all?

Thanks for the insights, Jorpho. No endless mode?! Failing to include that from day 1 in a puzzle game seems... unfathomable. Thinkin' I'll just stick with any of the other versions of Magical Drop out there.

Picked up Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition @ $4.99 yesterday and Faster Than Light @ $2.49 this morning. Since it seems there won't be very many deep discount surprises left, I'm trying to decide between a handful of lower profile titles before the sale ends, the demos of which have all been rather enjoyable. Any opinions out there on the following would be appreciated.

- Defense Grid: The Awakening
- Noitu Love 2: Devolution
- Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale
- Tank Universal

Recettear is a fun little game. It balances typical RPG dungeon-crawling with the mercantile aspect of running a shop. Gaining levels by successfully buying and selling things at prices customers want is a clever idea, and the bonus modes you get by finishing the game are fun. There's really no way to lose the game, either. If you fail to make a loan payment, the game takes you back to Day 1, but you keep all the items and experience you've accumulated, so the next pass-through is easier. When I picked it up, months ago, I got it for about $6.75, and I'd say it's definitely worth that price.

Right on, thanks for sharing your impressions of the game. I'm holding out hope that it comes up in one of the last flash sales, but failing that, I may just go for it anyway in the final hours.

By the way, in case anyone's interested, the Fallout Collection (1, 2 & Tactics) is included in the current flash sale and it's priced at a nutty $2.99. That's the cheapest it's ever been on Steam.

Any opinions out there on the following would be appreciated.

- Defense Grid: The Awakening
- Noitu Love 2: Devolution
- Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale Not at its cheapest
- Tank UniversalHowever charming Recettear may be, it is definitely not at its cheapest price at the moment and you might as well wait.

I hear Noitu Love is excellent. I can't believe I paid ten bucks for that once.

That may have been true at the time you posted, but it is currently 60% off until the end of the sale (which is 2.5 hours from the time of this post), meaning you can grab it for 8 bucks. You can also get it in the Carpe Fulgur Collection -- which includes "Chantelise - A Tale of Two Sisters" and "Fortune Summoners" for $12.49.

$8.00 / 60% off is certainly nothing to sneeze at, but Jorpho's right -- the game's not at peak bargain level, and yeah, patience will more than likely be rewarded with this one. See here for some absurdly useful pricing data: http://steamsales.rhekua.com/view.php?steam_type=app&steam_id=70400.

In these dwindling moments of the sale, I snapped up the last of it and rounded things out to a near even $20. These are all games I'm looking forward to spending some quality time with, and I hope everyone feels similarly about their Steam summer hauls!

- Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition @ $4.99
- Fallout Collection @ $2.99 (also grabbed one o' these for my brother as a gift)
- FTL: Faster Than Light @ $2.49
- Noitu Love 2: Devolution @$1.49
- Rock of Ages @ $1.99
- Super Sanctum TD @ $0.99
- Tank Universal @ $1.24
- Wizorb @ $0.74

I sold £4 worth of cards on the market and got Medieval Total War II Complete in the dying seconds of the sale.

It hasn't really been the best year for the Steam sale.

I thought the sale was decent enough. But then, I don't have too many current games on this here laptop, so I have more ground to cover than some people.

Games I Bought:
BioShock
BioShock 2
Dishonored (plus all DLCs)
Evoland
Fallout: New Vegas (plus all DLCs)
L.A. Noire (plus all DLCs)
Resident Evil 5
Terraria

2. Evoland (Highly recommended)
3. Dues Ex: Human Revolution
4. Fallout New Vegas
5. Torchlight 2

7. The Witcher: Enhanced Edition

I'm kinda pissed off that the Ys series didn't get a daily this time around. >:\

Ah well.

Heads up, the Ys games just went on sale for 66% off
