The Walking Dead TPB $1.50
Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn bluray sealed $5
Mass Effect 3(360) $4.97
Pink DS Lite $15
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow-Mirror of Fate Japanese version(3DS) $28
Resident Evil Code: Veronica X Soundtrack sealed $3
Yellow Gameboy Pocket with Tetris $10
Diddy Kong Racing DS(DS) $3

Although I've seen the tv show and played the Telltale game I've never actually read any of The Walking Dead original comics before. This TPB was sitting in the book section of Goodwill. It's pretty late in the series(Vol. 17) but was a good read none the less. I've passed on $10 copies of Mass Effect 3 twice, once at Walmart and once as Best Buy's deal of the day. But for five bones I finally grabbed it. The Yellow Gameboy and Tetris were my loan yard sale finds. The Pink DS Lite and Diddy Kong Racing were from another Goodwill, as was the RE soundtrack. I saw the DS and DKR behind the counter when I walked in and had the cashier hold them for me while I looked around. When I was ready to check out he was having problems finding what to ring them up as(he was new) so the other cashier started to help him out and then asked where I found the DS at because she hadn't saw it earlier and wanted it for her "little friend"(her words). I think that was her way of saying she wanted to buy it for her kid or some kid she knew. But it's the first working DS lite I've found so I wasn't giving it up to nobody, not even an employee who worked there. Finally, Castlevania was from an online store.

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood(360) $10
Underworld: Awakening bluray $5

These two items and the Forward Unto Dawn bluray from the first pic were all from a pawn shop. I rarely ever have any luck at pawn shops because the ones around here use ebay "buy it now" listings for their pricing models. But this one charged pretty much $5 for all their blurays and had a large selection of games they only wanted $10 for. I had most of the games other than AC: Brotherhood. And I might go back for some more blurays since a few of them may be worth something.

Yikes, $5 for Underworld Awakening? $4 too much!

I found all three Underworld movies to be quite enjoyable. Now if we were talking about the Super Mario Bros movie than that $5 would have been about $30 too much since they should have been required to pay people to have to endure that.

That Zelda is legit so far as I can tell though the shill of the one who replaced that battery is rather questionable, That Pokemon is almost identical to a Pokemon Silver fake I had earlier this year.

That Pokemon is a giveaway even without opening it. Look at how the logos on the label are cut off (and I don't even know off the top of my head how exactly a Pokemon Red label is supposed to look, so there may be something even more obvious).

The real cart doesn't have the Game Boy box logo on it or the Red Version text (just dug out my 100% legit CIB to be sure, naturally there's several variants on Google. Not sure if the black E is legit variant, but mine has a white ESRB E).

Gauntlet: Dark Legacy (Xbox, Complete), Silent Hill 2 (PS2, Complete), SMS & Genesis Controllers & Nintendo RF - 4.75
Crash Bandicoot Plush - .10
Game Boy, Game Boy Color And 9 Games, Dreamcast Controller & Fishing Rod - 23
Pink DS Lite & Wild Arms 3 (No Manual) - 5
4 PC Games (Beyond Atlantis II Looks To Be Complete) - 5

The 2 Last Gen games & controllers were asking price at 2 each for the games and .25 each for the controllers & RF. The Game Boy Color bundle was marked 10 so I offered 20 total for both Game Boy sets. They were thinking a buck or two for each of the Dreamcast items so I offered 3 for both, I'm guessing the controller was never used as it was still in the bag inside the box. Offered 5 for the DS & PS2 game which was marked .75. The PC games were 2 each and I offered 5 for the 4 I got.

Game Boy Games - Game & Watch Collection 2, Some Mary Kate & Ashley Planner game, Super Mario Land 1 & 2. Donkey Kong, The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, Street Fighter II, Super Mario Land & Toy Story.

Ballz - 3
6 Playstation Games - 5
Game Boy Pocket & Pac-Man - 7
Last 3 Games - 3

Ballz was asking price, tried 2 and wouldn't budge. Playstation games were a buck each and took 5 for 6. Game Boy Pocket was 10, offered 5 to which they countered with 7. The last 3 games were a buck each asking price, non of them have manuals.

$5.99 from Salvation Army. It is unopened but the shrinkwrap is open on the right spine of the box.

These were found at a Goodwill for $5.99 each, all new and sealed. I wonder if these were part of a store or warehouse drop given the Blade II and Cabela games for both Xbox and PS2 (there was another sealed PS2 Blade II that I left).

FLEA MARKET Shenanigans..

Saturday,no flea rained out...
a friend hit some estate, garage sales and picked up some game items..

Sunday..local flea market..
PLAN:
Get there early to meet an ebay buyer who lives local who was to buy a high priced rare game I have listed on ebay..
I did not pull the auction as I don’t know if he was for real.plan to meet up early.
So I set out with my 3 kids, my son on his electric dirtbike ,I pass a garage sale just setting up that looked to have boxed NES games on the table,I was rushing to make sure not to be late to meet up with the ebay guy so I didn’t stop..
I get to the flea market early and it’s flooded with buyers..I’m not seeing anything on my quick travel through.
I did find an old ETCH A SKETCH but it had water in it.$3.00 bucks,Pass..The lady is telling me it’s good-look it writes...No..I don’t see any lines... yet Silver water is coming out the knobs..scavengers.

I notice on another table a NOMAD,and two gameboys $5.00 Each...I won’t even haggle those prices..
(nomad works-just bought a new screen cover)

He Shows up and I got the below(for resale)

..................
I spent all day at the flea ,making sales, helping out..the ebay guy never showed..never called,nothing..

My dad and his girlfriend show up.

My son has his electric dirtbike up behind the vendors L lined tables..When we all had our back turned a lil 9-10 year old girl grabs the bike, takes off on it...My dad comes running telling me he saw her going up the isles with her DAD..
Honestly she took off so fast I had my one year old daughter in my arms,I‘m trying to direct the troops to go get after her.

We all take off and my dads girlfriend (age 50) heads her off,the lil girl ducks under her arms and runs right through her while the girls dad watches..my son gets in front of her and she dip turns with a frantic look on her dace and gets by him..(bike goes 15-20 mph modified)
Finally the girl stops, jumps off and runs away to her dad awaiting and they walk away....WTF just went on,My heart was racing so fast!!..I want to say something to the dad but he just looks ignorant to the situation, I think people are just stupid today and don’t teach their kids to not touch things..
This wasn’t the first time we saw them,10 minutes later they passed by again..I was still boiling..

Some parents teach their kids to steal. I know some vendors from a flea market who told me what happened to them. Apparently a bunch of gypsies sent all their kids(a lot) to grab as much stuff from their tables as they could, when the vendors grabbed some of the kids they feigned ignorance and pretended they didn't know they were doing anything wrong. I was told they were all young kids like around 10, some younger or around that age.

Picked up a model 1 Genesis with power, RF, and one 3-button controller for $2, and a couple GBC carts for $1 each (Spongebob, Nickelodeon Rocket Power) Made me finally get off my butt and post after not posting for months. Most of my finds lately have been books and music, but I have found a few other goodies including a Dreamcast keyboard (in original box) and an Atari CX-22 trackball (in original box). Also some other stuff not leaping to mind, will have to post when I get home from work.

Wow, some truly fantastic finds lately! Much like the area of Texas that I'm in, I'm stuck in a terrible drought - finds are few and far between. Went to my local shop (FX Game Exchange) and picked these up today:

http://img33.imageshack.us/img33/4295/enx8.jpg (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/33/enx8.jpg/)

All Atari 2600 and loose:

Mountain King
Math Gran Prix (Picture label)
Space Combat (Picture label)
Tank-Plus (text label)
Thunderground - end label is a little loose, need to reglue it down.

Flea market finds:

NES Remote Control and Championship Bowling are both complete, in great shape and were $5 each. GC Custom Robo and PS2 Freaky Flyers were $2 each, and the Japanese PS2 Evergrace II was $5

Goodwill finds, $5.99 each. MP4 and MKDD are missing their manuals, a too-common trait the I've been running into lately among GameCube games.

Went to a flea market at an antique tractor show. Yesterday walked around didn't find anything except for one vendor who "specialized" in video games. The guy had common NES games for $9, FFII for $45 and so on. Today walked around, got a Genesis controller for $1, boxed lawn Jarts for $15, and spotted these TurboGrafx from about 20 yards away sitting by themselves on a table. $25 for all of it.

Pink DS lite and 6 games $25
Soul Calibur(DC) $4
Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina of Time(N64) $3
Quest 64(N64) $3
Legend Of Zelda: Majora's Mask(N64) x 2 $3 each
Goldeneye 64(N64) x2 $3 each
Perfect Dark(N64) $3
Microsoft Office MAC 2008 $3
Magazine 29 cents
X Mania 7: The Big Time dvd $5
Legend Of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass print $1

So I came across a second pink DS lite in as many weeks. This one has the GBA slot card, something I didn't even know existed because none of the DS lite systems I've found have had it. But this one was stuck. I thought maybe it was sealed that way but I eventually pried it open. The previous owner had spilled what looked like soda into it and that caused the GBA slot card to become almost permanently attached to the system. I cleaned both the slot card and the slot out though and the system itself works pretty well. At that same yard sale I found the Office Mac and Phantom Hourglass print(which I think was a preorder bonus) but I missed out on a Star Wars PSP. But considering how much I had to clean the DS lite maybe thats for the best.

I was looking thru one of the carts of products in Goodwill that needed to be put out and one of the employees walked over to it and put a handfull of N64 games down. One was gold and that turned out to be Majora's Mask. He then came back a couple minutes later with another handful of N64 games and before he set them down I could see two more gold carts. Those were the other two Zelda games. I asked if he had any more and he told me that was all he had and that he originally put them in the wrong spot and was relocating them. There was quite a bit but I made sure to leave stuff for other people, like those rare Madden and WCW wrestling games. I also passed on two Intellivision games, one of them sealed, but picked up Soul Calibur in the cd section.

The X Mania 7 dvd was interesting. At first I thought it was just a wrestling dvd since this Savers is known to carry them from time to time. But when I took a closer look it turned out to be a Japanese dvd for various Street Fighter II tournaments similiar to EVO that takes place every year. It was priced two dollars higher than their regular dvds but I picked it up anyway as it isn't something you see everyday. And most people wouldn't have been able to play it anyway since it's region 2.

Fantasia 2000 dvd $4
Blade: The Animated Series $4
Mega Man Legends(PS1) $4
Batman two movie dvd $1.97
Final Destination Three Movie Collection sealed $4
Rocky cd $4
Kelly Clarkson cd $3
The Making of X-Men Legends dvd $4

The Batman dvd and cds were from a thrift store. Not sure why they charged more for the Rocky cd than all the others but no big deal. The other dvds were from two different Goodwills. The X-Men Legends dvd is apparently just a disc version of a G4 tv special that aired back in the day. I was looking for the Blade animated series. It's on Crackle along with the other recent Marvel animated series but having 5 to 7 commercials for 20-22 minutes of each episode is super annoying. And then we have Mega Man Legends. After picking up the Blade dvd I was just kind of browsing the cd/dvd area for the second time before I left. There was a small amount of PS1/Dreamcast games next to some dvds and I kind of glazed thru them before noticing MML. I grabbed it, made sure it was complete and then immediately started searching for MML2. Unfortunately I never saw it but this one is good for now. During the last month or so my thrifts, particularly Goodwil, have started getting in some really good stuff.

Genesis Sports Game (Complete) - .25
Playstation 2 System (Kingdom Hearts Was In The System) & Misc DS Stuff - 12
Mario Party DS (Game Only) - 2

Asked about video games and the PS2 and some games were brought out offered 10 for the system which was countered with 12, the DS misc was in a free box. The other 2 games were asking price.

N64 With 9 Games (Forgot To Show It Did Have A 4 Meg Expansion) - 5
Kobe Bryant In NBA Courtside - .50
Fat Playstation 3 In Slim Box With Power Cord & Remote - 15
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning (PS3, Complete) - 5

The Kobe Bryant game was a buck but took .50. The PS3 was 50 to which I told the guy I was thinking more like 5 and explained to him how these things breakdown (he didn't really seem to know anything about it). He countered with 25 but ended up taking 15. Other two were asking price.

Since it's hard to find anything in the Dallas area anymore, I drove up to Bonham, TX for their monthly flea market - all I found of interest was a Tomy Blip! electromechanical game (a battery powered portable Pong) in a water damaged box for $15. A bit high, but I can't haggle to save my life. I then went well out of my way over to Paris, TX to their flea market just to find that a horrible accident on the highway in front of the place had shut down all traffic to the area, and by the time I managed to wind my way through the detours, find a place to park, and hoof it over to the flea market, all the vendors had either packed up and left or were in the process of shutting down since no customers could enter the place. A complete waste of time going all that way.

I ended up offering 20 for the NES games which he took then he showed me some disk based games he just brought this week and offered to do 4 for Alice and 2 each for the last gen games which I took. Wii and accessories $50

I picked this up at a yard sale. It's a like new boxed Wii with a sealed classic controller, sealed nunchuk and four Wiimotes along with all the normal hook ups. The Wii I picked up a few weeks ago at Goodwill had a busted sensor bar so I sold the whole thing. This one was missing the Wii Sports disc but it should be pretty easy to find a replacement for it.

Super Smash Bros Melee(GC) $4 not pictures
Pokemon Coloseum(GC) in Agent Under Fire case $4
Table Tennis(360) $3
Soul Calibur III(PS2) demo $7
Mario Kart 7(3DS)
Mario And Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story(DS)

The Gamecube games and Table Tennis were from two different Goodwill's. Super Smash Bros Melee was inside of a Gamecube but the case was nowhere to be found in the rest of the cart. I'm not even sure why I decided to look inside the 007: Agent Under Fire case but when I did Pokemon Coloseum was looking right back at me. I checked all the shelves but couldn't find it's real case. The two Mario games for 3DS and DS were another craigs list find. The seller wanted $18 for Mario Kart 7 and $8 for Mario and Luigi so I offered him $22 for both and he accepted.

So about 3 years ago I "lost" my Nightmare on Elm Street boxed set by leaving it at an ex's house. Which lead me to the "do I actually go back and get them or screw it so I don't have to deal with her". Well I figured I'd easily find a replacement at the billion-ish pawn shops in the area overflowing with DVD's. Yeah, I was soooo wrong. Then today I walk in and all DVD's are b1g1 free to clear space. They have literally a thousand-ish dvd's on the floor and more in back. What do I find? The boxed set I wanted, for ten bucks! YAY!

Yep I just wanted to share that, I'm not taking pictures lol. Just never give up hope, you'll find it eventually (apparently).

I went flea market shopping, only found Galaxy Force for the Sega Master System for $5 there. On the way home, I hit a couple retro game shops. Bought the two rip-off Atari 7800 ProControllers for $10 each, the Atari 7800/XEGS light gun for $15, and that big round controller is a Quickshot QS-116, made specifically for the Sega Master System. That was also $15. All the game store stuff was higher than I had hoped it would be, but then I rarely find anything of interest in my area anymore, so it was worth it to me.

The Tomy Blip game was what I found last week after a long day of flea market and thrift store hunts.

Found this at the local flea market with other games such as Phantasy Star III , 2 copies of shining in the darkness and a few others.

The case says championship edition rom is just the normal JMF93. I can see why one would swap it out but sadly it has been done prior to me getting this. At a loss what to do with this item now.

No finds today but snagged some stuff yesterday.

At the flea market I found a CIB Yogi Bear on SNES. The box has "3.99" written on it in marker, indicating it came from a thrift store, and the vendor originally tried to pitch $15 to me on it. I said no thanks at that price and as I was leaving he dropped it to $10.

After the flea, hit up some Gamestops and a Thrift Store.

Gamestop 1 yielded a Pinball Hall of Fame: The Williams Collection for 3DS for $5.

Gamestop 2 had my Shin Megami Tensei IV pre-order that I picked up. I tried to take advantage of a B2G1F sale they have going on for used Wii and picked out Wing Island, SSX Blur, and Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree. They didn't have the disc for Wing Island and I didn't have time to hunt for another so I just left the other two there. The associate did let me keep the case/book for Wing Island though. :)

Gamestop 3 was a bust. I didn't find anything I was looking for in that location.

Gamestop 4 had two games on a B1G1F sale. On that I picked up Dissidia Final Fantasy for $10 and got The Kore Gang on Wii for free.

Right by Gamestop 4 was a Thrift Store. I found Lego Rock Raiders and "Racing" (part of the A1 Game series released by Agetec) for $2 each. I also netted an Imaginext fold out Castle bare bones for $2.

Across from Gamestop 4 was a used movie/CD chain called Buybacks. They were holding a B3G1F sale so from them I picked up Donkey Kong (NES Classics) and WTA Tour Tennis on GBA (both CIB), SBK Snowboard Kids on DS, and The Oregon Trail for 3DS (Donkey Kong ended up being my free one).

Donkey Kong & Mario Kart Super Circuit - 4
Ultimate Alliance 2 (PS2, Complete), Mario & Sonic Winter Olympics (Wii, No Manual) & Mario Galaxy (Disk Only) - 6
Crash Bandicoot & Crash Bash - 2
3 2600 Games - 3
All NES, SNES & DS Stuff (DS & Boxed NES Games All Complete Including The Map For Zelda) - 22

The Game Boy games were at a sale that advertised games for said systems and were 2 each. At another sale I asked about games and the lady brought out what was mostly PS2 with a few Wii games in the mix out that she forgot to bring out, sounded like jr was to sort them out for the yard sale and never did, 2 dollars each again. The Crash games were asking a buck each at a sale that advertised video games. Asked about games and some Atari stuff was brought out to which I offered a buck each for the 3 I got. DS games were out and a buck each, when I asked about games the lady mentioned some Nintendo stuff she had at home, I ended up going back and she was asking $5 for the system and a buck a game which I was happy with since she was nice enought to follow up on bringing and selling. The NES also came with 2 controllers and hookups which I didn't bother to put in the picture but I did want to include the NES in the picture since it's on crack.

Xbox games were a buck each. Xbox system was 10 but offered to do 5 and took 3. IIRC the PS2 slim I got had hookups and a controller and was 10, the fat system I got was marked 3 and IIRC had a controller and A/V cords. The games were 2 each and took 15 for what I got. The last sale had a bunch of random stuff most in the .25 to 1 range. I left a bunch of boring stuff out of the picture for the sake of trying to keep it to one picture. Some stuff was a 2600 AC Adapter - 1, 3 NES hard cases for games for .10 each, x2 Atari Joysticks so many general stuff that I've had in pictures before. I at least wanted to have the games, systems and unique or something I've never ran into and got in the wild in the picture. Came up to 25.90 and we ended up just making it an even 25.

Two NES systems with hookups and 28 decent games aren't worth $100? Especially when one of those games is Metal Storm? I'm jealous of a deal like that, even without the Metal Storm it would be a good price for everything.

Just got back from a family "vacation" to visit my wife's family in Troy Michigan last week. Big highlight each year is the Woodward Dream Cruise, but on one of the other days I went looking for some old game stores. The only thing I came across was "Mind Games" in either Rochester Hills or Sterling Heights (not sure where the towns end). The guy was kinda crotchety and his prices were honestly a bit on the high side, but he did have some nice stuff. Most of his items were priced in the upper eBay range, but honestly considering how impossible it is to find anything in Dallas anymore, I really didn't care. I picked up a few boxed, complete Genesis games averaging around $8 each and passed on a few others that I kinda wished I would have grabbed... I'm at work now, but will edit this with a pic later today.

POint of the story - Mind Games is a nice place to look around but for locals it's probably a bit pricey.

Awesome day. First I got my copy of Ganbare Goemon 2 (Mystical Ninja game) I bought on Ebay for $7 earlier in the week. Picked up Rebel Strike Preview disc at on thrift store for $4 and the Game Gear/Gameboy games for $1 each at a salvation army. Then at another thrift shop found the Sega CD games. Guy had put them out yesterday. I pointed out to my brother that the Space Adventure was made by Hudson Soft and looked cool and was probably worth some money, I had no idea it was going to be my top video game find so far, all there and super minty. The Sega CD games were 3 for $10.

Batman: Arkham Asylum variant strategy guide
Batman: Arkham City variant strategy guide
Marvel Ultimate Alliance: Gold Edition(360)

I snuck in at the last second to get both Batman variant guides for $20 total. Back during Best Buy's glory days of penny strategy guides I never got to pick up the Arkham Asylum guide because none of my stores had them. When I started searching for cheap deals for them online I came across these two sought after variants. It may have taken me awhile but I finally found both for a decent price. MUA: GE was from Gamestop. It was marked at $40 but I used a bunch of stuff for trade in that wasn't selling on ebay and ended up only paying $6 for it. I can't remember the last time I traded stuff into Gamestop for a game but this one was worth it.

Mario And Sonic At The Olympic Game(Wii)
Boy Meets World Season 4 dvd
Dark Chronicle(PS2)
Resident Evil 4(PS2)
Shadow Hearts: From The New World(PS2)
Xenosaga Episode II(PS2)
Gensosuikoden IV(PS2)
Shadow Hearts II(PS2)
Persona 4(PS2)
Final Fantasy XII(PS2)
Dance Dance Revolution: Party Collection(PS2)
N64 Bag (not pictured)

If I had been an rpg fan I probably would have enjoyed picking up this lot more. I was just doing my normal searching thru Goodwill and after picking up Mario and Sonic I spotted Xenosaga Episode II. It was mixed in with the dvds but the Japanese kanji were a dead give away that it was an import title. While doing alittle more searching I then spotted Dark Chronicles, and then Gensosuikoden IV. It was like a scavenger hunt because all 9 of these import titles were located in 9 different spots scattered thru out the video game and dvd sections. The last two I found were Resident Evil 4 and DDR: Party Collection. After finding RE4 I gave out a sigh of relief that I finally found an import I actually wanted to keep. DDR: Party Collection was the only game that was missing it's disc and when I pointed this out to the cashier she threw it in the trash can next to her. I then asked her if I could keep it and she grabbed it out the trash and let me have it. That happens to me alot at Goodwill.

After finding all of these games I figured that somewhere on the premises was either a Japanese PS2 or a modded US one that was used to play these game. I didn't find either so it could have been that someone had already bought it or that it just didn't end up at Goodwill. Doesn't really matter since I already have a Japanese PS2 slim which I will be using to play Resident Evil 4 on, unless I decide to play my 360 version instead. Anyway, all of the PS2 games, Wii game and dvd were $4 each. The N64 bag was also $4. Goodwill still turns up interesting finds these days.

Crash Bandicoot (Complete) & Kirby's Return to Dream Land (Sealed) - 8
DS Lite With Bad Top Screen & 3 Dreck Games - 2
Last 4 Games (Forgot To Picture The 4th One In Duke Nukem: Zero Hour For The 64) - 1.25

The first two games were at a sale that advertised "video games" with your typical $5 price. Crash was the only PS1 game and I asked if even that was 5 to which the lady offered to do 3 on it. DS Lite was asking price and the last 4 games were at a sale with 2 GameCube sports games out, when I asked about games the kid brought out a few more GC games and the lone N64 game. When I asked how much he offered to do .50 per a GC and a quarter for the N64 game to which I offered a buck then when I decided to grab Star Wars also he said .25 more would work. Worms Blast was the only complete game out of the 3 GC games.

2 Complete PS2 Games - 2
3 PS1 Games - 3
Atari & C64 Plug & Plays - 1.50

The PS2 games were asking a buck each. The PS1 games the guy said he wanted 2 or 3 each. I offered 3 for the two I got and got the FFVII demo added in for free. The Plug & Plays were asking price at .50 for the Atari one and 1 for the C64 one.

Had some interesting pickups over the last few days.

Evansville pickups:

3 manga artbooks (artists: Adumi Tohru, Taishi Zaou, Mikiyo Tsuda - upon further review, they appear to be bishounen/BL manga artists. not really my thing, but hey, cheap artbooks. 1 or 2 of them may end up as Christmas presents.)
Short Cuts manga volumes 1 & 2 (probably going to find this a new home too.)
$26 for all

Owensboro pickups:

Final Fantasy Anthology & Zelda Minish Cap guides
Dark Cloud 2 PS2 (CIB, has some small surface scratches on disc)
NIB 3rd party SNES controller
Tetris 2 SNES (cart-only)
Mario Paint SNES (CIB, Player's Choice)
$56 for all

Went all over the area looking for Link to the Past. Was not successful in that regard, and apparently, it's become a huge pain in the neck to find what used to be such a common game because sequel. Working on assembling a starter SNES collection for a work buddy, seeking recommendations on 2-player games. (Not really looking for RPGs because sellers are all out of their minds.)

Flea market..

Vendor had a nice small table of unique video game items, quality stuff..but nothing priced to where it was a bargain or that I needed to pay that high to acquire..
plus no room to resell..
I don’t think $65.00 for a used PS2 slim is a good price...
NES deck $50.00

Stopped at another vendor:
They had so much stuff,comics...on display real nice set up..
PC games were $3.00 each but I bought the whole box for $10.00
Then each thing was $5.00..My total was $30.00 with a free item or two..

Looking at some of these sets, they have some cool items in them...Coins..

But I don’t know anything about used PC software, can I resell it..

Garage sale hunting...bought another RED kid push car for $3.00 but in better condition.

My next pick up was not flea market related..
A friend went garage sale hunting Saturday....picking up this and that..one place he asks..do you have any video games, the lady says yes but was very reluctant to show them..
She agrees to show my friend and into the basement they go..
Bin filled with game stuff and the Game and Watch
He offers her $50.00 for the bin and she takes it fast with a smile..

I purchased what I wanted from the bin today to resell..

The PSP is mine though..

I'm not a PC guru but what I've learned is that some can be resold and some can't. Most Valve and EA stuff(especially the last 5+ years) can't be resold since they have a one time activation code. Theres quite a bit of older software that can be resold but there are others who are much more qualified to answer that than myself.

My general take on PC software is if it's older than like 99 or so or it doesn't have an online component, pick it up if it's cheap. If it's more recent than than that, only grab it if it's new and sealed. I found that Everquest II tin at a thrift a year ago maybe and sold it for a solid $40, but it was still new and sealed.

You can get burned though, I bought a new copy of Lineage II to try and flip, only to discover the game is now free to play. Thankfully I was only out like $5.

Here are the games that I promised:

Well, Star Wars Galaxies is a dead MMO. It got killed several years ago, but the collectible items may still be worth a few bucks. Just make sure you mention that the game component cannot be used anymore. Neverwinter Nights 2 LE is worth about 20 bucks if it's got -everything- inside it. Black & White 2, Empire at War and Cold Fear are resellable. The Command & Conquer 3 stuff, maybe not. Everquest II and Star Trek... most likely not since they have one-time use codes.

Like others said, many PC games these days have a one-time activation code. I still buy them for myself, if they work then cool and if not then I only lose a few bucks.

Just to add a few things, that Star Wars Galaxies is still worth around $30 as it's the collector's edition. Also, that Star Trek Online is still worth around $10 as that's also the collector's edition, it doesn't matter that it's used as the game has been turned into a free-to-play game last year. It's no longer sold at retail anymore, it's free to download. From what I've read, Everquest II has been turned into a free-to-play game as well, you can just download it. You could probably still sell the used discs as someone would collect them. The Command and Conquer 3 should be fine, from what I've found it doesn't use DRM so it can be reinstalled as many times as you'd like, you only need to register the game for online play.

That said, while most of these things are still sellable, that doesn't mean everything is worth much money. Most of these items would be worth less than $5 each, more in the $1-$3 range if you can find a buyer. Cold Fear seems to be a neat game though like Resident Evil, you might want to try it out.

I sell alot of PC games, and like most have said, I usually don't deal with it unless it's New and Sealed or old and has no internet-tied activation. Some of my favorites to do are the old Blizzard RTS games, (selling boxed Diablo I and Diablo II right before Diablo III was released got insane!!) any old LucasArts stuff, since they're now defunct, especially the adventures games, like Full Throttle, The Dig, ect.

What seems to make the difference in the games is the content (Star Wars theme games seem to never lose) and condition (Complete in original box), and some very greatly on class (Giant Big Box, Player's Guide, ect).

Picked up the Buffy dvds at Savers for $4 each. They also had Angel but I picked up the complete set earlier this year at a flea market for alittle less than $10. Mario Party(DS), Donkey Kong Land(GB) and Mario Party 7(GC) were from three different Goodwill's. I thought this was the Donley Kong game that was missing from my GBA SP bundle but it turns out that one is Donkey Kong Country. The two 360 games were from Best Buy with a certificate. I grabbed Midway Arcade Origins just so I can play Spy Hunter because the original Xbox's Spy Hunter isn't backwards compatible and I also get to compete on the leaderboards. I already had the collector's edition of Batman: Arkham Asylum but since it was still sealed I decided to sell it since I've been downsizing a significant amount of my collection lately.

I wish I would have know another DPer was so near by. I hit Mind Games once in a while and there prices are on the high end but they are nice people. I generally pop in when out I am having bad luck game hunting just to at least see a game and not go home empty handed. We also have a few other small shops that sell games but nothing great. Next time your around try Guild of Blades. Mostly a RPG gaming shop but also have a video game section. There used RPG book prices are great video games not so much but you do find good prices in there.
