I just bought a Neo Geo CD from Japan and it came in today. I hooked it up and the CD won't spin. I did clean the laser and you can see it lights up and aligns itself trying to read the CD but of course won't if the disk doesn't move. I tried moving the CD when the console was off by hand and the motor feels like it's to tight and doesn't want to move freely.
The seller states they tried the console and it worked fine so I believe it happened during a shipping issue but I was wondering if there are any known fixes that I could try.
I am going to contact the seller to see what they are willing to do but since I purchased it from Japan I they want it sent back the cost will be to much to make it worth while and the time will be forever.
